Besides ended

up near my SUV and did not want it climbing in my engine bay.

My cat does that, should I kill it too? What possible harm could a snake do to your engine? like my cat it soon runs out when I start the car.

Seems you’re getting a bit of criticism, which seems very unjustified.

Maybe a lot of key board warriors here, who in reality would poo their pants, in the same situation.

Actually quite enjoying it, but surprised at the snowflake reaction of some.

You not seen on TV items where mechanics are trying to

extract a reluctant snake from a car engine

I bought last year a 1.5m snake catcher after I found out the plastic water pipe with nylon rope not worked well.

I used it 3 times already but 2 times of it the snakes was already killed from my thai dogs. 😒
I really like this snake catcher,

By the way, did you hear the one about a snake that got into the exhaust pipe of a car and ended up coming out the air cleaner in the engine bay. !  😲

Yup. True blue Aussie story mate. 😉

Just threw that in to lighten up a bit.

Interested in why the plastic water pipe and nylon didnt work well please?      Was it a noose bend in the rope down at the end and you pulled up on the other end?

if so I've made on and not used it yet.

Every time the nylon rope hang at the hole. I made the hole a little bigger. Than the end piece hang down and the sling close from alone. Once after some month the first rope was rotten from the sun. Another time the dogs bites the rope, ...

I had only problems with it.

But this metal snake cater works well.

Age old storey hey.. erring on the side of caution and all snakes are judged guilty of being dangerous until identified and proven as innocent. So many varieties and so many inexperienced people. No wonder so many harmless snakes are killed.

Vetinary grade Injectable vitamin C is becoming wider known for animals being bitten. Intramuscular and subcutaneous. It work for Aus brown snake bites but maybe best to get followup vet treatment within 6?  hours.

I was disturbed by a lot of rustling beside me when I was having my morning coffee a few days ago.

My resident expert said they were doing the wild thing!

Get over it old timer.

Nothing to get over. You are clearly a rather unpleasant piece of work.

This one was captured, next to homes, in Sattahip last week.

Not the size of snake to tackle on your own. Leave it alone and seek assistance.

I retract this comment. I don't know you so I should not have said this. However, please treat harmless creatures with respect. They can be useful to have around the place.

No worries, actually thought it was quite a rstrained response,

particularly in respect to my unwarranted jibe about your age.

Have a good day.

And for the record, can't recall the last time was

in mortal combat with a snake,

Looks like you fail to understand that this snake was not venomous. There was no mortal combat.

Well, I think I just busted that myth

Actually cobras (which yours wasn't) are one of most shy snakes here.

It is usually much faster and easier to just use a broom to sweep them outside. They don't really want to be there either.

But if it makes you feel like a man......

So, you did not have time to check, as the snake was hunting you and your wife, pushing you into a corner, where you had no way out than to kill it? Is that right?

The only thing you do in you silly thread, is to over and over again justify that killing snakes and geckos are ok. Just get it! It´s not OK!
