Science certainly doesn't know whether it is caused by humans.

Of course, that is somewhat inconvenient for the socialists and elitists who want to use that theory to tax the population to death, regulate their behaviour and increase the power of the state, all while pretending to be more virtuous.

I’m under the assumption that BM Danderman is the Global Warming Greenhouse Gas effect board Scientist.

He should have a valid answer

Tropical fish are moving south and atlantic crabs are moving north. Given that 90% of the surface of the earth is covered in ocean, thats a lot of heat required to raise the temp by even 0.1 degrees. The problem is that climate science deniers consider that apparently low numbers like 1 degree and 2 ppm are small numbers in the scheme of things. Just part of the overall disingenuous nature of their arguments.

Five islands in the Pacific were already submerged by 2011, six more are on the way, being 20% under water at present.

Some parts of Thailand are already being flooded:

But I guess a smart guy like you already knew that.

Is it your contention that sea levels are rising in the Pacific and Thailand, but not around New Zealand, as they sure ain't around NZ.

As for Thailand, the only area I'm familiar with that has been flooding ( because other areas are not ) routinely is Bangkok, which has flooded at least since the 1980s, and that is because it is sinking, not the water rising. It's sinking because they pump too much groundwater out, but I'm sure you knew that.

As for "global warming", I wish we had a bit in NZ as it's rather cold at night. I've had to start using the heater already.

I have no contention other than it is well-known that some Pacific islands are disappearing.

Perhaps before you make up anything else, read this:

Subsidence and water rising go hand-in-hand.

Sea level rise in NZ is in millimeters per year. I am unable to see any difference in sea level on the shore near where I live over the past 60 or so years. If it was obvious I have no doubt the woke NZ media would have seized on it to tell us that we are all doomed unless we pay more taxes and drive EVs.

It's pretty obvious that if land subsides the water may flood it.

I'm sure that some Pacific islands are sinking. Tectonic plate activity has not ceased simply because humans think it should.

LOL, you are so correct.

Seems to be a lot of people out there that think humans are so special that we will be around forever, when it's more likely that we are just a passing species. It'll just be more ironic if we exterminate ourselves because we polluted too much and over populated the small area that is able to support human life.

It may or may not be because of human activity, but it's irrelevant because there is no way we can change climate back, no matter how rich we make Elon.

It's hubris to think that despite there being clear geological evidence that the planets climate has always been changing over millions of years, humans are solely responsible for it now.  Where you can draw accurate correlations though is how much richer the richest tend to get when the gullible proles fall for another one of their money making schemes.

Au contraire, the plaent is in a natural cooling phase so if we stop burning fossil fuels the cooling will reverse the warming we see now. The issue is to stop burning fiossil fuels before we reach tipping points like cessation of the gulf stream currents which have a great effect on weather.
