Travel Insurance for Europe Schengen area

Featured Replies

Good Morning

I'm living in Thailand on a Retirement Visa.  Does any member living in Thailand, have a suggestion wrt Travel Insurance for the Europe Schengen area?  If I were in my home country there would be no issues but I am assuming that being based in Thailand complicates it.

Thanks

I don't know how retirement visa would have affected anything but last year I used Chubb. Had forms and policies provided in both Thai and English.

If you type "travel insurance for schengen visa (from Thailand)" into a search engine you should get plenty of options.

Last time, I used allianz.

My travel was not to Europe Schengen area.
I checked these company covers world wide.
Also I had no trouble while traveling, so I made no claim.

Anyway, I will use one of these on my nest travel.

Friend regularly visits Europe with his Thai spouse.

Always uses Kasikorn bank travel Insurance.
