Jail time to return for Cannabis players as PM describes the trade as a threat to Thailand

By drugs you must include alcohol. So a better world without alcohol? I think it would be a better world if all drugs were legal and there was no relgion.

How about no drugs and no religion?

Not because it is forbidden, but because people don't want it. Now that would be progress.

He and his ilk are the biggest threat to Thailand, not some harmless plant. A total idiot and a bogus pm at that, put in place by cheating.

I drink alcohol from time to time.

But then, I also don't have a problem if I don't drink it.

As usual, it's a question of moderation.

your comment was talking about drugs and not their use. my point was that alcohol is also a drug. so in line with your original comment the world would be a better place without alcohol.

He may be telling the French what the French want to hear. The French (a timorous lot with no balls nowadays alas) are "worried" about cannabis liberalisation in Germany too. The difference is, the German premier is not going to promise re-criminalisation on a French channel just so that the French give him kudos.

What we need is more major countries pulling the plug on prohibition so that prohibition countries feel increasingly isolated.

April already?

Time flies, great April first joke this one!

He says whatever when talking in Europe, same with all the other things they said before, or that land bridge investment, let's see money details first. Or tomorrow land, another joke. Then this again? It is not even up to him, and how could it be a threat to Thailand, that just confirms once again this PM is a moron and clueless (aside from not making decisions anyway, so who cares what he said).

Whatever they do I will assure you that weed will always remain readily available in Thailand, nothing will change that ever again. In the best case the police will start making some decent bribe money on it, which actually seems to be the only reason, they wanted to make it (partly) illegal again, as they rule.

The police so far has no ability to say or do anything about weed, and also not being able to collect any bribes or small time fines, they want that to change only.

Why not introduce sharia law too in Thailand, while we are at it? Nothing much to stop that from ruining it further here.

Heroin would be much better 'eh?  Ahhh, there is nothing like the smell of moral relativism in the morning.

very high possibility it will be on the florida ballot for 2024. america is moving quite fast now with almost half the states already or about to legalize in some form or other.

I see recreational drugs, tobacco, now cannabis, as having young Thai men, some that are still kids, as main users.

They start early morning to come get their bottle of cannabis, hemp products, cigarette in the mouth, as these immature men need something like that to make them feel part of a crowds, and feel like men. And a lot of money is spent on these products. Just one seller close by here, bought a new Honda car, and a new motorbike as well.

Men that are already immature, not wanting to take responsibility for their actions, even responsibility for children that they father along.

Now the number of cannabis shops are on a course to surpass the number of 7-11 shops.

I do not see anything good coming out of that in Thailand.

Perhaps the government had good intentions at the onset of the liberalization of cannabis, and what they see makes them question their first decision...

Now that's copy pasta

Where is Big Joke, has he returned? has he been arrested?

He also appeared to countenance the return of prison sentences for those in the trade.

They will need a lot more migrant laborers to build more prisons. Init.

Indeed, the PM went further and described the current cannabis regime as a danger to the country.

It is him , Srettha , who is the danger .

But he is a laughing stock anyway ...

British Columbia just legalised loads of drugs. In the war against drugs in Canada, opioids won.

I'm waiting for Thailand to allow us to grow our own poppies!

Going to be a lucrative money stream for the boys in brown if it goes through. Plus no wear mask. The daily double bust. Get out that ATM card, or scan options.

Jail and deport.

Hope you'll be first in the line for the jail and deport. Thailand doesn't need your kind here.

Probably receiving pressure from foreign govts to shut it all down.

Also it is not a good look for Thailand with all these cannabis shops everywhere and the unique smells emanating there from.

I never thought I'd be able to say this but this guy is worse than Prayut

I don't think that's possible but he's Theresa May, Bojo or Liz Truss level incompetent. It's hard to reach that level.

Obviously doesnt benefit his portfolio, why else would a politician care?

  • Popular Post

It's going to be a bitch trying to get that Genie back in the bottle if not impossible. The PM needs to do a little research on the benefits of cannabis, let alone the tax revenue!  But you can't fix stupid....
