The gag order is in the NY State criminal fraud trial issued by Judge Merchan.  The judge in the case with the $175 million bond paid is Judge Arthur Engoron.

Don't confuse the haters with the facts... they can't handle the truth

And they messed up the paperwork for the bond apparently they left a lot of required information out so it got rejected lol 😝 you would think all those expensive lawyers the rubes are paying for could do a better job?ehh?

The cause for the rejection, according to the New York County Supreme Court website, is because the requisite paperwork lacked a current financial statement.

Which is being argued as not required and private... when bond is posted it is not the courts prerogative to ask how.

Thaibeachlovers - re. our earlier exchange, apparently Trump faces 91 criminal charges and 4 indictments !

Still 91? I thought some were thrown out for having no basis in law, even against Trump, no? Fanni can appeal it, but she'll have to make up more crimes to get it back up to 91.

If you bothered to investigate whether or not it is a court prerogative to require personal financials while posting bond... you would find that it is not.

Here's the real reason for the judge's refusal...

Trump had claimed that Loren Merchan, whose firm has worked on campaigns for President Biden and other Democrats, had recently posted a photo on social media depicting her "obvious goal" of seeing him jailed.

"Judge Juan Merchan is totally compromised, and should be removed from this TRUMP Non-Case immediately," he wrote Thursday. "His Daughter, Loren, is a Rabid Trump Hater, who has admitted to having conversations with her father about me, and yet he gagged me."

Trump's legal team has since demanded Merchan recuse himself from the case ahead of trial, which is set to begin April 15.

And as usual, you believe all what Trump says.....

Haven't you read at least the title? "Court says", not "daughter says."

A part of the article worth quoting:

"The little-known insurance company that rescued Donald Trump by providing a last-minute $175 million bank fraud bond isn’t just unlicensed in New York; it hasn’t even been vetted by a voluntary state entity that would verify it meets minimum “eligibility standards” to prove financial stability.

Perhaps even more troubling, the legal document from Knight Specialty Insurance Company doesn’t actually promise it will pay the money if the former president loses his $464 million bank fraud case on appeal. Instead, it says Trump will pay, negating the whole point of an insurance company guarantee, according to three legal and bond experts who reviewed the contract for The Daily Beast."

Do bonds not typically only insure the accused does not flea?

I have no expertise about it. The article mentions the opinion from experts, that's all I know.

Likewise. The Trump appeal folks have 2 weeks until the 22 APR Engoron hearing to work things out.

NEW YORK, April 4 (Reuters) - A New York judge will hold a hearing on April 22 over the $175 million bond Donald Trump posted as he appeals a $454 million fraud judgment against him, the state attorney general's office said on Thursday, after asking for more details about the bond.

So we have a bond issued by a subsidiary of an insurance company. Neither the company not the subsidiary are licensed to issue bonds in NY. The subsidiary doesn't have the liquidity nor the solvability to pay the bond if required. On the bond it states that if it has to be paid the defendant, Donald J Trump, will do so. The owner of the company is the major share holder in Axos Bank, the bank that refinanced Trump's and Kushner's real estate when Deutsche bank pulled out

Anyone think this is not shady?

The hearing on the bond will be held in Judge Engoron's court 22 April and one can reasonably presume that AG James and the Judge will be looking for any reason to deny it.

So they'd better have their ducks in order by then.

Of course it's shady and all of Trump's property should be seized immediately, and he needs to be incarcerated until the state gets their money!

They need to start another case to punish the company that posed the bond, and any considering posting a bond for Trump. These people, and anyone that tries to help Trump needs to be crushed and disallowed from doing business in New York.

Another twenty felony charges should be brought against Trump for attempting to use a shady bondsman.

Meanwhile, criminal illegal aliens that commit violent crimes get released on their own recognizance, nice.

If it's a fraud bond, it will be rejected. They have now 10 more days to put something together that isn't.

He won't. I think he's not able, and he needs to get the bond rejected to have another complaint/ talking point.
