A gang of teenagers brandishing knives and causing late-night disturbances with firecrackers in Nakhon Ratchasima province has been apprehended by the police.

The group, comprising of both boys and girls, reportedly terrorised the local community with their threatening behaviour.

Law enforcement officers from Pak Chong Police Station, led by Police Colonel Veerapol Rabiapthoh, and his team, in collaboration with local village head Swasdi Srimuang, tracked down the youths.

The teenagers, numbering eight to nine, were found congregating and were all questioned by the authorities. They admitted to being the individuals involved in the acts of intimidation within the community of Ban Takhian Thong, Moo 10, Tambon Khanong Phra, Pak Chong District.

The police subsequently took legal action against the youths and summoned their parents to inform them of their children’s behaviour, urging them to exercise stricter supervision to prevent further incidents.

Parents were warned that continued negligence in controlling their children’s actions could lead to legal consequences under the Child Protection Act. Every parent assured the authorities of their commitment to reprimand and closely monitor their children to prevent any recurrence, reported KhaoSod.

The police have encouraged the public to report any similar gatherings of youths to the Pak Chong Police Station at the phone number 08-9949-8150.

This intervention comes after residents were subjected to fear and inconvenience due to the teenagers’ conduct yesterday, which included dragging knives along the streets and setting off ping-pong bombs late at night.

In related news, a quiet neighbourhood in East Pattaya erupted into chaos as a gang of 10 teenagers unleashed a pellet gun frenzy, with one resident narrowly escaping serious injury. A group of teenagers stormed a residence nestled in Soi S.R., Nong Pla Lai Sub-district, east Pattaya, on March 17, firing a pellet gun indiscriminately.

In other news, violence erupted in Pattaya South at Laem Bali Hai Pier when a gang of approximately 30 youths descended on the area, wielding knives and seeking retribution over a pair of jeans.
