Totally agree. This forum is for lunatics, manic depressives, fellow fascists and a general smattering of hippies to let off their pent up gases in words rather than turning the dog green.

On the other sites, I thought the general theme was to help each other out with the myriad of problems one can face by association with Thailand. What form the requests or answers come in, as long as they are understood, who cares ?

You forgot the Commies and their running dogs, this forum is infested with them. :o

Back to the OP, unfortunately the forum rules allow noobs the same right of expression as the 10K people. The wise noob, however, doesn't use this until he gets the feel of the place, a good move is flattering the senior members, massaging their egos with expressions like "great post" and "you can say that again!"

This has the effect of convincing the SM's you are highly intelligent, articulate and worthy of membership.

When a noob reads a post he should take careful note of how many posts that person has before he comments on it, if it's less than him he may try a cautious flame, particularly if a SM had already given it the thumbs down. Joining a flame fest on a SM copping it from his peers isn't a good idea at this stage, you may be considered getting a bit above yourself. Hone your skills on other noobs, taking care of course, that this noob doesn't have a friend or mentor in the upper ranks.

Maybe the SM's would like to compile a guide book for noobs, maybe along the lines of.....

0 to 100 posts- groveling only

100 to 200 posts- non controversial opinions allowed...

etc etc.

Sorry

You are right.

Forgot the Commies and their hangers on......... Heathen swine that they are.

Great post :D When can I start flaming?

I wonder what the 'C' stands for?

But heck Kayo just because the ##### hasn't been about for a few days doesn't mean you have to take her place. :o

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeow!

:o You talking about me, Robski bear?

Yes, the Samui subforum is just like the island: full of A*holes. Read CM or even Patters and everyone tries to help each other. Samui is a flamefest.

But, a few nice posters appear there, like SamuiJens. I read it to catch up on news (haha), but it's mostly <deleted>-tennis. back and forth. back and forth.

I got bored reading the thread and wondered, what's this for? I wouldn't let it bother me though, they'll be gone in a week!

vaut mieux avoir des remors que des regrets.

"It's better to have remorse than regrets.

Close this thread.

No don't. I hate people that say that, except the elephant.

I can't say it in French, but I'll try:-

Ferme cette threade.

Non. Je ne aime pas le monde parle cette, je ne include pas le elephante.

Why Jas, What's up?

What the bleeding <deleted>**ing he** is going on with all these Noobs (btwL Newbie = anybody with less than, oh.. say 10,000 posts )

getting all high and mighty...

Take a look Island forum

Wow, whole different breed there, eh? :o

It's truly difficult to observe all grammatical rules when you write a foreign language.

These grammar cops intimidate the non native English speakers, which is a pity because they too have useful input.

Actually, Fluffy, why is your trunk between your legs and headed towards you know where? Well, it is a better av than the one with the bullseye broadside target.

Squirt, sorry to hear about your kitty. Any better? Try bits of raw squid.

Oh, is this thread about Samui? Can I do some more bish bashing/ Pretty please? I'll do it anyway, so y'all may as well condone it.

Cat's okay now, Jet.<br />He started making weird squeaking noises so I threw him out and he honked up a hairball.<br />It's raining again here.<br />Guess I'll wash the car tomorow.<br />It's a thrilling life.

P.S. Don't know why computer has started doing this. I can't post quick replies or smilieys either.

Funny, how I dropped a star in my rating after I posted this thread.

How's Samui these days,// Na, never mind. I don't really care/ Managed to live in LOS the best part of four years without going down to tourist ville.

You have be been up-graded. :o Learn all the code and it is quite a bit faster than waiting for smilies to load. :D

Funny, how I dropped a star in my rating after I posted this thread.

I've gone down several stars just lately. While not surprising in itself, I have been a bit stoppy recently and do have a couple of stalkers :o , I've also noticed that many others are losing some too.

Harmless and/or valued members have dropped from 5 to 4 and many others seem to have gone to the more standard 3 stars.

Has anyone else noticed this trend?

I'm wondering if one, or more people, with a grudge or bad attitude are spending time downgrading members rankings. (It could even be the brain dead from the other place amusing themselves)

Perhaps it's the same person who insists on giving many threads ranking points?

Any thoughts, or am I just a parinoid pr..k who deserves what I get?

Something is up.

I was rejoicing over that noone cared about rating me since it's such a useless thing...only to find out that some/one have the last days/weeks.

Well, atleast I can keep the friendslist clean from anyone...I can control that!
