Home Office Launches Operation to Detain Asylum Seekers Across UK for Rwanda Deportation

In a surprising move, the Home Office is set to begin a sudden operation on Monday to detain asylum seekers across the UK, in preparation for their deportation to Rwanda. This operation comes weeks earlier than expected and is believed to have been timed to coincide with local elections.

 

The plan involves holding refugees who attend routine meetings at immigration service offices and picking up individuals nationwide over a two-week period. Those detained will be immediately transferred to detention centres that have been prepared for this purpose. Some individuals identified for deportation to Rwanda are already in custody.

 

The timing of this operation seems to be linked to the upcoming local council elections in England, potentially aiming to bolster Rishi Sunak’s claims of a crackdown on illegal migration. Prime Minister Boris Johnson recently announced that the first flights to Rwanda would take off in "10 to 12 weeks" after the controversial bill legalizing these flights was pushed through Westminster.

 

In Scotland, police have been alerted to the possibility of street protests and attempts by pro-refugee campaigners to disrupt the detentions. Local communities in Scotland have previously prevented deportations through mass protests, such as those on Kenmure Street in Glasgow in May 2021 and in Nicolson Square, Edinburgh, in June 2022.

 

During these protests, hundreds of locals surrounded immigration enforcement vehicles to block the removal of asylum seekers, leading to tense standoffs between protesters and police. In one instance, two men were released after a six-hour confrontation to avoid violent clashes.

 

While Police Scotland officers will not participate in the detentions for the Rwanda flights operation, they will be involved in crowd control and overseeing Border Force operations.

 

Speaking ahead of the parliamentary session to pass the safety of Rwanda (asylum and immigration) bill, Rishi Sunak highlighted the increased detention spaces and resources allocated to process asylum claims swiftly and handle legal cases efficiently. These measures include additional detention spaces, trained caseworkers, courtrooms, and judges dedicated to immigration cases.

Somehow I think there will be chaos,an  violence,spun Politically.Scary , cause it’s been all calculated , for quite awhile,me thinks.

The UK Border Patrol should stop picking up people from those rubber boats. As it is all they need to do is paddle just a few yards from the French coast and they will be picked up safely.

 

Boat owners who pick up an illegal immigrants and try to land them on UK soil should be heavily fined and have their boats confiscated. 

 

Britain is getting too soft, and not just with the immigrants. All this Woke and multi gender nonsense is getting out of hand.

Under SOLAS they have to be allowed to land!

If the purpose of this initiative was to bolster the Tory vote in the recent local elections, then it failed miserably.

The cops will just change tactics and grab them off the street or force the hotels to evict them so they can be picked off individually.

There are more than one way to skin a cat, as the saying goes.

Well these people knew that they were doing and deliberately put themselves in that situation, hardly the same as shipwrecked sailor.

 

If the patrol boats aren't patrolling they wouldn't find any one to rescue, and any migrants that do make it to UK shore should be given some food and water and towed back near the coast of France, where they came from and cast loose. 

 

At the moment the UK government is paying the French millions of pounds to boost their police force and help stop the migrants leaving the French shore. It ain't working, they are probably having a good laugh at the situation at UK expense. Money for nothing for them.

 

Dump a few boats of migrants back on their shore and see how they like it.

 

The Rwanda farce is just as bad. Costing millions of pounds and archiving nothing. Rwanda is not a safe country, just Google back a few years. These inter tribal rivalries never go away and now with the UK Government pouring millions into the little country, the only ones profiting are the corrupt politicians.
