As everyone knows, NATO stands for No Action, Talk Only. If they felt they could have won a ground war against Russia, they would have probably gone in with all guns blazing. Since they can’t win the real war, they try to win the war of narrative. Judging from what we can see on this forum, it appears that they are very successful with some. Fortunately, the rest of the world is not as gullible.

Probably with a majority of the planet's countries, and even in the west it's mainly the leaders and their cronies, IMO. I doubt most western citizens agree with blowing women and children to bits in so called "safe zones".

I didn't want anyone to think I was laughing at the quotes so I have quoted you to laugh at your words.

Do you even know any Russians, and do you think not being an orc hater means we think it's OK to abuse prisoners?

That sort of thing happens in any war by both sides. There have apparently been abuses by Ukrainian soldiers against Russian POWs.

For me, it’s not a matter of “supporting “ one side or the other.  It all comes down to try to understand what is happening and why.  What is the historical context? Does this war make any sense?  What happens if it continues?  How and why did it start, and when?  What was the role of the United States in instigating the overthrow of a democratically elected president in Ukraine in 2014? Secret CIA bases in Ukraine? What about the Ukrainian treatment of Russian speaking people in the Donbas over the years? Genocide? US funded biolabs in Ukraine?

It’s all a mess that needs to stop, sooner rather than later. “Supporting “ one side or the other is counterproductive. To think otherwise is to accept the consequences of continuing escalation.  WW III.  Billions of deaths and the end of the world as we know it.  How does that make and sense?

Reasons are simple. Putin is evil, he wants to re establish the old Soviet Union, he wants to conquer Ukraine, he wants to conquer all of Europe, he is afraid of losing the election so he initiates a war… People do believe the most amazing things. It’s a wonder there are still bridges left unsold lol.

For all of us who believe in freedom and realize we can not let the other side get away with lies and propaganda from russia.

Here is a great channel to watch and they have new content everyday, not only showing one sided news but also destruction on the Ukrainian side. Some videos show active battles ,not pretty.

Russia tried to attack Kharkhiv, the Ukrainian army managed to slow down the Russian advance. Now things are pretty much stalled.

The question is if the Ukrainians can counter-attack.

Very interesting and telling comment , there is going to be a de-facto accpetance of territorial gains and frozen front lines. The Korean armistice and cease-fire is coming and then hopefully the senseless slaughter can stop. All maximalists are doing now is prolonging the war and suffering for the same end result.

But Ukraine isn’t winning.

Short of artillery, ammunition, air defences and most of all, troops, Ukraine is struggling to hold back the sheer weight of Russian firepower, glide bombs and massed infantry assaults that often border on the suicidal.

What, I asked Prime Minister Kallas, is Estonia’s Plan B if Ukraine loses this war and Russia’s invasion ultimately succeeds?

"We have no Plan B for a Russian victory," she replies, "because then we would stop focussing on Plan A" - helping Ukraine push back the Russian invasion.

"We should not give in to pessimism. Victory in Ukraine is not just about territory. If Ukraine joins Nato, even without some territory, then that’s a victory because it will be placed under the Nato umbrella."

Ukraine are on western aid life support. If the money stops the country collapses.

It’s a conundrum for President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who is desperate to replenish his forces while ensuring that the shortage doesn’t damage an economy he needs to keep afloat.

“We are now in a war of attrition,” Ukrainian Deputy Central Bank Governor Sergiy Nikolaychuk said in an interview in Kyiv. “It is very difficult to choose between butter and guns.”

The problem will only intensify as the Russian invasion drags well into its third year and Kyiv is forced to fill a gap left by millions who have either fled the country, joined the army or fallen in battle. As Ukraine’s military struggles to hold the line against a fresh Russian offensive, its economy — which has lost a quarter of its output since the invasion began — risks being further weakened by the shrinking workforce.
