I think you will find ICEV still on the road 50 years from now I am sure if you could time travel back to 1908 and ask Henry Ford do you expect people to be still driving your new model T in 2024 I think he would have laughed and said No chance “A new car remains in the Dutch fleet for an average of 19 years. Think we all know in our hearts it's a certain group 👃who favour mass gimmigration. They own both parties though so it's a bit dispiriting - esp as we're not allowed to speak about these things openly. The blowback in the future from suppressing the obvious will be one for the ages if history is anything to go by. -

True… but taking one on a plane adds hyperbolic level of severity. My Brother In Law was caught with 3 guns in his car (licensed but outside of the permissible area of use). - 10,000 baht fine. - Monthly check in with local Police. An unlicensed gu would draw a more severe fine, outside of an area such as an airport. But caught ar an airport with a gun - that’s surely going to result in full on ‘extreme’ penalty… especially as it wasn’t a ‘military officer making a mistake’ etc… (I.e. no understandable or reasonable explanation) -

Anyone using the phrase nanny state is beyond rational discussion - if you want nanny take a look at what this country tells you that you can say, read or write. What rights you will have as an immigrant, how thy decide where you can work and look at education and healthcare... needless to say they have a workaround for property ownership? or a secure rental agreement? what is she going to do for a living? What work permit does she have and what visa? how long will that last? -

Huge markup on imported foods. Why?
MAJOR problem with Thailand imho. Seems cheap overall but VERY low quality - applies to EVERYTHING (apart from the obvious 💋) it seems with very few exceptions. If you want a comparable quality of life with the west it's VERY expensive though it's easy for us to rationalise it away. -

Feel sorry for AN posters who bought electric
Yep, the typical electric car owner has the personality of Rain Man. They memorise all the green power statistics but not the real cost. Without the subsidies the whole industry would be toast. I did not yet see an independent signed off audit of on the electric cars and I suspect that the these cars pollute the same or more than petrol power cars. Electric cars lost out 100 years ago. It is ridiculous that tax payers are subsidising these cars for the rich.- 1
