Accident Rama II Road Again: Woman Shocked as Falling Cement Smashes Car Window
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. . Another frightening incident has emerged from Rama II Road, reigniting concerns about road safety on the notorious route. A Bangkok woman took to Facebook to share her harrowing experience after a chunk of cement fell from an overhead bridge and shattered her car’s rear window. The victim, posting under the name “Sud Khanueng,” recounted the terrifying moment while driving on the outbound expressway exit ramp near The Niche ID Rama II residential complex. Without warning, a piece of concrete fell from the overpass and struck her vehicle, causing her rear window to cracked and shattered across its entire surface. In her post, she expressed anger and disbelief, saying: “It’s finally happened to me… Limestone dropped from the Rama II overpass. This section is right before the expressway exit. It was pure negligence from the contractor, just drilling recklessly with no regard for safety.” The incident resulted in damage to her property and disruption to her time, though she noted that she was fortunate not to have been physically harmed. “It’s bad enough having to watch the front and rear when driving. Now, we have to worry about what might fall from above too,” she added. The case has been handled by Bangmod Police Station, and her insurance provider, Viriyah Insurance, has reportedly stepped in to assist with the matter. She concluded her post with a plea for greater responsibility: “Good fortune isn’t something we can rely on every day. Let’s be more cautious and considerate, please.” The incident has sparked renewed criticism of construction safety standards on Rama II Road, an area that has seen numerous similar complaints in recent months. Is covid a hoax
It's a hoax in the sense that it's actually not a real, separate virus, but merely a reclassification of the common cold, flu and pneumonia. I agree with you on how docile East Asians can be, but this applies only to a few nationalities. You'll see very few masks being worn in Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia. In Vietnam, they're mostly worn while riding motorcycles and among some elderly people in the cities. Masks are only worn to the extent they are in Thailand, in Taiwan, Japan and South Korea, but Thailand seems to be a little worse than those countries. -

Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
The only mistake I did was to upload a withholding statement (from TSD) in jpeg format. That statement was not very legible. But I brought good PDF copies to the TRD office. Also, TRD painstaikingly checked my bank account savings book to see if every dividend paid matched the amount credited to my account. What this checking was all in aid of I wonder. If any checking had to be done, they by myself, to make sure my broker was not cheating me out. Neither did TRD take my word for it on my sole remittance in 2024. TRD checked my savings book to make sure there were no other remittances.
