Police raided a snooker club-cum-pub near Buriram Provincial School, uncovering a drug-fueled party in a VIP room. Nine individuals, including three women and six men, were arrested, and various drugs and firearms were confiscated.

Police Major General Rutthaphon Naowarat, commander of Buriram Provincial Police, yesterday, May 28, led a team comprising the provincial police investigation unit, the Mueang police investigation team, and administrative officials to raid the Double Nine Snooker Club on Romburi Road in Nai Mueang Sub-district, Mueang District, Buriram Province. This establishment is situated adjacent to Buriram Provincial School.

Inside the club, police found a main hall with two snooker tables and four VIP rooms. Upon searching these rooms, one was discovered to be the venue of a drug party. Nine individuals were present, three women and six men, all of whom attempted to flee but were promptly apprehended by the officers.

Various drugs, including ketamine and a new type of drug mixed with drinking water, were discovered in the room. Urine tests on all nine individuals revealed the presence of drugs, turning their samples purple. Additionally, a 9mm handgun with ten rounds of ammunition was found.

Upon further investigation, a black Toyota Fortuner with the license plate number งฉ 7327 from Nakhon Ratchasima was found parked outside the pub. This vehicle belonged to 51 year old Nawapol, one of the nine individuals in the drug party room and the owner of the confiscated firearm. Nawapol admitted to being the owner of all the drugs found in the VIP room, reported KhaoSod.

Neung, a 24 year old man among the nine arrested said he had arranged to have a drug party since the morning, chatting and consuming drugs and drinks.

“It was enjoyable as the VIP room featured smoke, lights, and sound, making it feel like we were in heaven. When someone knocked on the door, we thought more friends were joining, but to our shock, it was the police.”

Pol. Maj. Gen. Rutthaphon mentioned that the establishment had a license under the name Lahan Sai Residents Association.

The discovered drugs traced back to Phetchaburi Province were particularly concerning due to their liquid form, which could indicate modifications or increased potency. The police plan to conduct an in-depth investigation to trace the origin of these drugs.

Yeah indeed.

There was no mention of any tourists at this party and in particular no Englishmen.
