Welcome back!

The temple is The Sanctuary of Truth. I'm sure there will be something on Google about it.

There is a forum on this web-site for Suvarnabhumi Airport - which may help.

There were other threads in the Pattaya forum on taxi / limo to/from the airport, but I cannot recall any mini-bus threads. Does WCR still have his car rental business? Maybe he knows someone.

Here's your directions to the "Sanctury of Truth":

The Sanctuary of Truth (in Thai Prasat Sut Ja-Tum) is dramatically set on a rocky point of the coast just north of Pattaya, in the small town of Naklua. Its near the end of Naklua Soi 12. You could easily get a songtaew (a small pickup truck turned into a sort of taxi-bus) from Pattaya, as Pattaya 2 Road becomes the "main" street of Naklua. However, its a long walk from the mouth of the soi to the temple. You would best be advised to rent a car or motorcycle to make your way to this place from Pattaya.

Since you have quite a gang and assuming arriving after a long flight, you should consider using the AOT limo service, right there in the airport. They have decent, clean, insured people-movers available for your group. Some may decry the added expense but I would prefer the convenience of booking that in the baggage claim hall once you have all your bags together and being escorted to your chariot. This option versus wandering out to the undersized meeting-point, dodging taxi touts while looking for a sign board (if he can be bothered) held by the driver you don't know who may even have wandered off for noodles because your plane is a bit late.

Enjoy your stay tho'

150B per adult, not sure if you will be charged for the takker in the photo.

If you ring the 089 449 8843 number listed (I have 0816 204 703 ) the young lady will give directuions, as you are a group she will probably even look for you. You can book by email, [email protected] again different from the above post but it worked for me.They are the same company. :o

Sorry mate, I haven't used their minibus (my tribe is smaller than yours) but I have seen them on the display list of vehicle types available. The regular aircon car (limo) to Pattaya is usually B2600 so I would think the minibus would be at least B3600 maybe a tad more? Make sure it's the AOT one you use. There is also 'Thai Limousine' which has at least a 30% markup on the AOT rates and is not any better IMHO.

I still think AOT is a better option as all your bags will be inside with you and the driver will probably offer to stop about halfway down at the m'way service area where you can get a snack, drink, take a leak, etc..

I passed thru the airport last night and priced the AOT minibus to Pattaya.

!!! Only 3000 baht !!!

Choice of Nissan or Toyota, same price.

I was going to give you details of a Pattaya based minibus driver I've used a few times. He speaks decent English, and he is a good safe driver. He charges 2.900 Baht. For the difference of 100 Baht I would use the AOT on arrival (which I thought was quite a bit more expensive).

If you want his details anyway (or anyone going the other way, from Pattaya to the airport), just pm me.

Have a great holiday.
