very suspicious,  43yrs old is not old,  they found drugs in his room but drugs don't make you jump from your balcony.

They need to look at CCTV and verify who went into the room last and what time they came out.

RIP poor guy.

thats a wild assumption, you have no idea of any of the circumstances, drugs, alcohol, depression, mental issues, health issues, only the brief info given. but straight away go for  'suspicious'

43 years old is old enough to have a screwed up life... drugs might not make you jump, but can make you unstable... balconies are not the place to be in that condition.

You obviously missed the “file photo. For reference only“ notation at the end of the OP. Clearly it isn't the balcony in question.

    What a ridiculous comment.

The story omits details about whether he checked in alone.

Yeah but greater chance of not dying instantly. If it was the 2nd floor would people be thinking suicide?

Why is it nobody ever falls from a second floor balcony?

Not true at all.

I reall numerous low floor accidents.

They do, but no-one dies so it's not making the news. My Mate fell out of a 3 story window...luckily only sprained his ankle (some say because he was so pissed his body stayed relaxed for impact)

OMG, again?

What a nasty place Pattaya is. Should be avoided by all means.

Nonsense I have been to Pattaya 17 times

2 in one day with the Russian

Seems to be twice the usual daily rate

This is really a mystery.

Not really. The likelihood is his departure day back to his cesspool of a  home country was soon approaching and he decided this was the better option.

Tuesday morning after a fall from the seventh floor of a hotel in Pattaya

Last night, 10pm, my friend was Central Mall Pattaya, sitting outside, beach side, lower section.

A foreigner landed beside him, DEAD.

Can't find any information on the internet, nothing.

Looks like they are keeping these jumping incidents quiet.

That's the one.

Quite sad, seems to be one or two foreigners daily. 😔

Thanks

he hotel's security guard, 34-year-old Supornchai Hadkham, reported that he didn't see the fall and doesn't know how or when it happened.

Sound asleep ?

Not sure what happened to my post. I hope that wasn't the 'off topic' post referred to earlier.

A ex-soldier bounty hunter who travelled to Afghanistan and Pakistan to kill Osama Bin Laden and is later found dead from an apparent fall might be considered 'on-topic'.

I guess you'll need to search for the LA Weekly article yourselves.

I posted a picture of the scene earlier in the thread, it was at the rear of the building, maybe that is why security did not notice the fall.

That's possible, but it's not unheard of sleeping securitu guards.

But it's total speculation and so meaningless?
