Yes Jerry. From past posts, you seem to be the only WR customer who got paid out by them. Well done.

That's nonsense, I've seen lots of posts in this Forum and others from satisfied customers.  My Bangkok-based broker has dealt with a number himself.

A company who does not show real informations anywhere and has to be asked for simple details is at least not a good sign in my opinion. Compare that to other insurers who are open and publish all infos about their business, reputation, registration, capital base and so on.

If it comes to information:

If you look for an insurance and you would choose AXA eg......do you go through all the financial spreadsheets before signing???

YES, but probably you're the only one🤗

Because according to their last filed accounts, they only have assets/cash of 8 or 9M THB.

😂😂😂😂 : 7000 members, every one will pay at least 300 Euro/month....is 2.100.000 million Euro/month.

And you talk about 7 million Baht? Or you want to tell me that every single one of these members will have the same issue at one day?

Oh dear, give me break🤣🤣🤣

Well, Axa has 147,000 employees, 94 million clients and large offices in 51 countries and 103 billion Euros in revenue. Do I trust them more? Guess my anwer.

That's not the answer to my question. (But I expected that kind of reply when someone is cornered)

Do you think I am cornered? You are either a troll or have some benefit in advertising WRLife. My answer to that is wise men do not argue with fools. I will therefore keep quiet. Have a great day.

Wow! Look at those overheads. All those paper shufflers and office rents? No wonder their premiums are eye-watering.

Meanwhile, over at WRLife...

And you believe there is one claim per month only? 7000 members may result in 500 claims a month, and seems to be older people prefer to join WR and most likely they have no other choice.

They will possibly try to find something from the patient's dim and distant past.

I got my updated information 2 days ago. I

Every insurance got their specialists for actuarial science.

Maybe the profits will differ.

Somebody told us there are 144.000 AXA employees.....Sure, the profit has to be huge to feed them all.

Remember how many online insurances there are on the market already. Some you didn't read their names before. But with small margins and good service they have their clients

Axa doesnt do only insurances for old people on thight budget, and do have a solid backing.

WRL? They constantly talking down on the bigger companies who have proved their backings. If I have to choose, I choose Axa, but I do not have to, since I travelling back and forth, and need only travel insurance which cost me 8k a year only. But I do pay tax and have private insurance connected to social security back home.

It always comes down to what options you have, and how much you want to spend. I would say WRL is risky, but good someone do take the chance as said, then we will know more in a few years

Go back the last 5 years. I can't remember lots of complains about not having paid the Hospital bills. However, not everybody is reading AN. Probably only a handful comparing of amount of farangs in Asia.

Im not sure Im following you on this one? Can you explain?

@scubascuba3, the action of having regular health check-ups can actually trigger suspicion by medical insurance companies if you make a claim.  "Why were you visiting the hospital so many times over the years?  You must have had some illness/pre-existing condition!".

I had this problem from April International (France) when I made a claim.  They stated that I must have had a pre-existing condition that I knew about, because I had regular hospital check-ups!

The logic of their argument is 'crazy'!!

This is why I try not to disclose any health check-ups to an insurer, even if I'm given a 100% clean bill of health.

I thought once a year is normal for people above 50?

i only do annual blood test package to see whether my diet and fitness is working, at a lab. Every time you go to a hospital they measure blood pressure which would be evidence against you in the event of a claim, I'm sure

And...what you want to tell me? If you're not telling the truth about preconditions even AxA would not pay. And if there is a moratorium time and something happens within,  then it's bad luck. Therefore it's very important to read the contract very carefully.

Btw. I found a lot of negative comments at AXA, AIA, and Cigna.

We are lucky to the cheap blood tests here and don't understand why more don't  get one each year and self educate themselves on what the numbers represent.

WRLife is unlimited.

With fixed premiums, independent from your age. So if you pay now 12.ooo Baht you will pay in 30 years the same. No co-pay. Sheryl does not know that actually. She's no insurance agent I suppose.

The fixed premium will be fixed until you will make your first claim.

That's the point why their premiums are extremely low. At present they have 7000 members (farangs and Thais) and do direct payment with all Hospitals.

Fixed premiums can't work for 30 years?  Are they adjusted for inflation?

What you mentioned about the premium being fixed until the first claim is interesting. It rewards healthy individuals and would possibly explain  their low premiums but still have my doubts.  If all companies did this, it would get expensive real quick for unhealthy individuals which is not a good thing IMO.  What would stop them from increasing your premium after a few claims to a point where it's unaffordable.

On second thought, most countries I'm aware don't allow health Insurers to increase your premium because of a claim. Who is providing this information?  I think you are having a laugh at our expense? 🙂

Exactly what I found back then as well, and the web page information stinks, as well the replies from their agent on fb trying to spam every asian forum back then. Not to mention the CO of the company answer to some few of the reviews from the clients. Unprofessional

I would be more concerned about the fraud by fellow expats then these insurance companies.

I have had conversations with representatives of some of these companies including WR Life.

People getting a plan and opting for the monthly payment option.  Then, a few months later making claims for long type of illnesses that they probably knew about prior to their application.  They suddenly get diabetes, cancer, heart disease..

Many of these claims are rejected with the suspicion of fraud, as they should be.

So, stop the lies and making things more difficult for the legit people who want insurance if they infact have a future illness.
