A deeply troubling video has surfaced, showing an anti-Israel protester in New York City expressing profoundly hateful sentiments toward Jewish people. The incident took place during an event in Union Square that was meant to honor the hundreds of victims killed by Hamas during the Oct. 7 Nova Music Festival.

Man saying antisemitic rhetoric.

The footage, shared on the social media platform X by reporter Luke Tress, captures a man shouting vile remarks at a group of Jewish individuals. In the video, the man waves his arm and yells, “I wish Hitler was still here. He would’ve wiped all you out.” This horrifying statement is repeated as tensions escalate between the groups present at the event.

The Union Square exhibit was organized to commemorate the victims of the tragic Oct. 7 attacks. However, it also attracted a counter-protest by the pro-Palestinian group, Within Our Lifetime. The counter-protesters included individuals carrying a disturbing banner that read “Long live October 7th,” a reference to the day of the Hamas attacks, which were condemned internationally for their brutality.

The incident highlights the intense and often dangerous nature of current political and ethnic conflicts, spilling over into public demonstrations in major cities. The presence of anti-Israel protesters waving a flag associated with Hezbollah, an Iran-backed terrorist group, further underscores the volatile atmosphere.

Public reactions to the video have been swift and severe, with many calling for a strong response to such hate speech. The event in Union Square, intended as a solemn tribute, turned into a stark reminder of the deep-seated animosities that can erupt in public spaces.

Authorities and community leaders are likely to face increased pressure to address and mitigate such hateful expressions, ensuring that public demonstrations remain peaceful and respectful. The Union Square incident serves as a chilling reminder of the pervasive and dangerous nature of hate speech and its potential to incite violence and deepen societal divides.

The BBC will be along shortly to claim these were "mostly respectful" protests 😃.

Or maybe the other chestnut, Anti-"Zionist".

Maybe Dianne Abbott will educate us that 748,223 gingers in her school faced the same abuse?

At least the protestors are being more honest now. It's clear for all to see what we are dealing with.

The organizers of this event should have known that it will lead to conflict and aggression regarding the thousands of dead palestinians .

NY should not have given permission for that .

Don't try to put out a fire with gasoline . No demonstrations of whatever kind should be permitted , as it is clear that it will lead to violence .

Adams condemns NYC Nova exhibit protesters’ ‘pure antisemitism’ after they waved terror flags, endorsed Hitler

Mayor Eric Adams on Tuesday ripped the “despicable” anti-Israel protesters who mobbed a downtown Manhattan exhibit that memorializes the Oct. 7 terror attacks.

“That is pure antisemitism,” Adams tweeted in a three-minute video, referring to Monday’s heinous protesters who waved Hamas and Hezbollah terrorist flags, unfurled a “Long live October 7th” banner and lamented that Adolf Hitler isn’t around to wipe out Jewish people.

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/06/11/middleeast/analysis-yahya-sinwar-hamas-ceasefire-talks-intl-latam/index.html

Interesting analysis ...

Yahya Sinwar has so far survived eight months of Israeli’s brutal military campaign to kill him. His longevity is a personal victory for the Hamas leader – and increasingly appears to be grim vindication of his decision to seize the initiative in the generational Palestinian struggle with Israel by launching a bloody attack on October 7 that would plunge Gaza’s two million residents into a predictable hell.

“We have the Israelis right where we want them,” he is said to have told other Hamas leaders, in leaked messages reported by The Wall Street Journal. He appeared to justify the deaths of Palestinian civilians as a “necessary sacrifice” according to the messages.

If this were a conventional war, it would be easy to write Sinwar off as deluded; Israel has the upper hand by far in conventional weapons. But the weapons’ devastating effectiveness is becoming a liability in this asymmetric conflict, and against the backdrop of a tortured history that Sinwar is adroitly weaponizing against Israel.

Sinwar sacrificed the population of Gaza for his sinister goals .

Nethanyahu did exactly what he was supposed to do .

The ICC will , hopefully , issue arrest warrants for both of these monsters soon .

An ancillary of the left that is tolerated and mitigated in leftist cities

Good luck with that, they had their chance to nip this nonsense in the bud, but the so called “authorities” chose sitting on the fence of apathy to see how this would play out and are culpable in their shenanigans.
This is the sum of the convoluted internal conflicts and contradictions of the left.

You know someone's got nothing relevant to offer when they bring Diane Abbott into a conversation about a demonstration in New York.

The thread is about antisemitism.

It's perfectly logical that known antisemites like Abbott would be discussed in such a thread. It's also logical that you'd prefer she wasn't.
