A 15-year-old girl died in Trang after falling from a school building. Authorities believe the incident may be due to personal stress and the school is currently investigating the matter.

The unfortunate incident was reported to the police by Trang Hospital's emergency room this morning, June 12. Officers led by Kawalin Chairat, together with Kusonsatan Foundation rescue personnel, began to scrutinize the site after the report.

The victim was identified as Boom, a student from Yan Ta Khao district in Trang. She was in her fourth year of a high school specializing in STEM subjects. Her fatal fall occurred from the fifth floor of the school building at about 7.40 am today. Despite immediate attempts by teachers and emergency responders to save her, Boom died from her injuries at approximately 9.28 am.

Trang Governor Songkrod Sawangwong, along with Trang provincial defence officer Nahathai Sunthornnon and police chief Sanit Phonphet, visited the hospital to console the grieving family. The officials emphasized a comprehensive investigation into Boom's case and tasked forensic specialists to visit the school for an exhaustive examination.

Preliminary investigations show that Boom's father, Sombat, had brought her to school at around 7.26 am, just before the tragic incident. The exact cause of the fall is still under investigation.

Governor Sawangwong announced in a statement, "A fourth-year high school student fell from a school building and died. Our deepest sympathies go to the family. Early police reports show no evidence indicating foul play."

Interviews with Boom's family showed no immediate signs of school-related stress or pressure. However, personal issues might have contributed to the incident as suggested by the governor, and he further ordered the school to create a committee to investigate the matter more deeply. The family has not expressed any doubts regarding the cause of her death at this time.
