A fire broke out at the warehouse of Sangin Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., located in Tasit Subdistrict, Pluak Daeng District, Rayong Province. The company manufactures electrical appliance components. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. There were no injuries or fatalities reported.

14.30 Fire has been contained to the outdoor storage area, and prevented from spreading to nearby buildings.

 

The roof of the storage area has burnt away and partially collapsed, making full extinguishment of the fire difficult.

The fire has been successfully extinguished by approximately 15.00.

The damage assessment is currently underway by the relevant authorities and the Rayong Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office has coordinated with the Rayong Provincial Pollution Control Office to check the air quality in the surrounding area. The results will be reported as soon as they are available, but there are believed to have been no chemicals involved in the fire.

oh dear '     I hope the company can find the strength within to continue ....   it's obviously a traumatic experience when your business catches fire.

This fire is reported to have involved the plastic pellet storage, which may account for the amount of black smoke produced early in the fire.

There are no reported injuries, but the initial damage value is approximately 20 million baht.
