Thailand Triumphs at Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards 2024

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin expressed pride in Thailand's ongoing status as a premier tourist destination, with Bangkok named Best City and Koh Samui Best Island in the Asia-Pacific region at the 2024 Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards.

 

Chai Wacharonke, spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, highlighted the Prime Minister's commitment to enhancing Thailand’s tourist attractions for their beauty, comfort, and accessibility. This effort aims to establish Thailand as a key tourism hub and top global destination.

 

Thailand's achievements in the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2024 by Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Macau were celebrated. Koh Samui received the Best Island award, with Samui Airport ranking fourth in the Best Airports in Asia-Pacific category.

 

Bangkok secured the top spot as Best City in Asia-Pacific. These accolades showcase Thailand’s tourism industry's ability to offer both aesthetic appeal and convenience, ensuring memorable experiences for visitors.

 

The Prime Minister’s spokesperson noted that Travel + Leisure is a leading travel and lifestyle magazine in Asia, awarding top honors based on surveys and reader votes totaling over 200,000 between January and March 2024.

 

Koh Samui was recognized for its enchanting charm, quaint bungalows, fishing villages, abundant coconut trees, and breathtaking natural landscapes, making it a top destination in Thailand. Samui Airport’s ranking highlighted its efficiency and service.

 

Describing Bangkok as a dynamic city with diverse offerings from street food to haute cuisine, vibrant nightlife, and a blend of cultural and spiritual landmarks, the magazine named it the premier city in Asia-Pacific.

Leisure and Luxury

Probably not the leisure I'm thinking of. Luxury? Well a good soapy massage is, IMHO, luxury. Full marks from me. Good place to get some weed. Cigs are relatively cheep and so is alcohol albeit <deleted>e. Oh! Wait! This isn't about this is it? Of course the afore mentioned bring in plenty of dosh.
