BANGKOK, July 11 (TNA) – The Election Commission (EC) has certified 200 new senators and an additional 99 reserve candidates. However, one candidate from the group of 18 media representatives was disqualified and given an orange card.

The EC Secretary-General, Sawaeng Boonmee stated that the EC meeting determined the Senate elections were conducted fairly and justly. Therefore, the EC announced the certification of all 200 senators and the 99 reserve candidates. However, one candidate from the group of 18 media representatives was temporarily disqualified (given an orange card), and the top reserve candidate was promoted to fill the position, leaving only four reserves in this group.

The disqualified candidate from the group of 18 media representatives is Ms. Kordiyah Song-ngam, who was elected as a senator for Ang Thong. In her work history, she claimed to be a village public relations officer and a district public relations officer in Chaiyo.

Of course they did...

fairly and justly for who !!!! NOT the people   This is NOT democracy

The Ec  is the only institution that rules Thailand.. They decide who can reign, who wins and will be able to form a Government and if the people or votes speak different the EC will prosecute them, disbanned them and find all kind of ways to get them to the constitution court to ban them with lies and false accusations. How long will the people of Thailand accept these people

Thailand - the Hub of Unelected Officials.

Really need to amend it's Constitution wherein the sovereignty of the nation belongs to the Thai Peoples.

It is sickening how they parade like peacocks, saying, "Hail Democracy"! Then, they do everything they can to subvert it.

And appointments to the EC must be approved by the Senate! 😉
