Reduce taxation by gifting.
Well said. There's almost zero comparison in terms of capability, operation and just about any other aspect you can name. You could say, the only thing these 3 agencies have in common, is Revenue in their name! -

Thailand issues four major announcements on new visa measures
Hello For your info there has been meetings with some embassies, representatives of TRD and expats in Bgk.. For sure one with swiss embassy.. one with french embassy.. Already it came out that the Thai version of the Thai french agreement and the french/English version has one very important word which were different (something like should on one side and could on the other one) and the TRD representative said for them the Thai version is the valid one.. The french authorities have required TRD to clarify their position.. no answer till date.. Again, if Thailand proceeds and enforces the law, it will take months/years to reach a settlement with the other country.. And again, now there are numerous countries with no double taxation agreements where residents still are charged especially by a lump sum on imported money or required to pay the difference between their taxes abroad and in their country of residence. Have an excellent day -

US Navy introduces 'first gender-neutral submarine.' What could possibly go wrong?
Thank you for that. Over two decades in nursing and worked as a nurse in 3 different countries- NZ, Saudi and the UK. Stories indeed, hundreds if not thousands. Unfortunately there are as many horror stories as happy ones and not many comedies ( a few to be sure, but rare ). Nursing is not for the squeamish, or the easily offended. In NZ I met very few male nurses, and to be honest I didn't tell the guys in the military that I was going to be one as I'd have been mocked mercilessly. It wasn't till I got to the UK that we males were not uncommon, though very much a minority. Saudi was the most interesting what with the culture and everything, and I understand that nurses from at least 28 different countries were working there. No such thing as a Saudi nurse in the 90s, or at least that I met. Sorry to disappoint, but being a male nurse is not some avenue to endless sexual hijinks as per "Carry on Nurse" or Carry on Matron". Nursing is hard work, for little reward or thanks, and most of what nurses do is unseen by patients, so if ever in hospital, a thank you to the nurses is appreciated. -

Texas Chicken Bids Farewell to Thailand
I find it rather strange that 'biscuits' would be served with chicken? Tea or coffee with biscuits at ones morning break, but not with ones lunch or dinner. I suppose if it were meant to be like sweet and sour, one could raise an eyebrow, but stranger things have been known I guess. -

Muslim Council of Britain Seeks Government Engagement Amidst UK Riots
They were not the victims, apart from a small demo outside one mosque where an outer wall was damaged, no muslims were attacked. In Birmingham armed muslims went on the rampage and attacked a man outside a pub putting him in hospital. Of course they always portray themselves as the victims, nothing is ever their fault, despite the endless terror attacks, stabbings and killings over the years. Thousands worldwide since 9/11, that was not their fault either, according them. -

Texas Chicken Bids Farewell to Thailand
Church's Texas Chicken is an American fast food restaurant chain that specializes in fried chicken and is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The chain was founded as Church's Fried Chicken To-Go by George W. Church Sr. in April 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, across the street from The Alamo.[3][4] Church's Texas Chicken trades as Texas Chicken or Church's Chicken in many countries.[1][2] The chain is owned by American private equity firm High Bluff Capital Partners. As of 2017, Church's Texas Chicken had more than 1,700 franchised and company-owned locations in 26 countries. Church's Chicken began its international expansion in the 1970s, in Canada, Mexico, Japan, and Puerto Rico.[14][15] In the 1980s, it gained popularity in Indonesia when it opened under the trade name, "Texas Chicken". In 1989, after a four-month legal dispute to avoid a takeover, Church's Chicken became the second-largest chicken restaurant chain when it was acquired by Popeyes for $330 million. -

Digital Wallet Registration Results for Smartphone Users Indefinitely Delayed
The Ministry of Finance has announced an indefinite delay in releasing the registration results for smartphone users under the “Digital Wallet” project. Originally scheduled for September 22, the release was postponed due to concerns about potential overlap with vulnerable groups, such as state welfare card recipients. Registration for the 10,000-baht top-up program through the “Tang Rath” digital wallet application ran from August 1 to September 15. However, the Ministry explained that it now needs to ensure that the first phase of payments—targeting 14.5 million vulnerable individuals, including state welfare cardholders and people with disabilities—is completed without duplication. These payments are set to begin on September 25. Deputy Finance Minister Julapun Amornvivat clarified that the delay is necessary to thoroughly review the registration data, as some vulnerable individuals may have also registered via smartphones. The Ministry is working to verify eligibility and prevent any overlap between the two phases, reported NNT. In addition to postponing the smartphone registration results, the Ministry has delayed the registration process for non-smartphone users, which was initially scheduled to start today (September 16). Registration for non-smartphone users will now take place at a later date through the Government Savings Bank (GSB), the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), and the Government Housing Bank (GH Bank). Is democracy still the best political system for ASEAN countries?
Completely agree. The people there have accepted a deal - limited democracy, press freedom, political parties etc. - in exchange for a very high standard of living and sound government. Nothing wrong with that.... and it works.- 1
