Couple of updates on the ongoing war against terrorists:

July 11: IDF says it killed 6 top members of Hamas naval commando forces in recent Gaza strikes

They are named by the IDF and Shin Bet as: Ramzi Salah, the naval forces commander in northern Gaza; Jamal al-Baba, the naval forces commander in central Gaza; Ratab Abu Sahiban, the naval forces commander in Gaza City; Omar Abu Jalala, the naval forces commander in Khan Younis; Mohammed Qashta, the naval forces commander in Rafah; and Ahmad Ali, the successor to Abu Sahiban as commander of the naval forces in Gaza City.

Lots of scum left to kill yet and they are still able to inflict heavy damage on IDF. 5 IDF killed and 14 injured in an ambush.

The deadly surprise attack in Gaza was almost as shocking as its location.

On Monday night, a group of Israeli soldiers walked across a route used by tanks and armored vehicles about a mile from the border fence when a bomb exploded.

Remotely operated, it tore into the troops from the Netzah Yehuda battalion, a unit made up of ultra-Orthodox soldiers.

More Israeli forces rushed to their aid as a second bomb exploded, also remotely operated, when a third bomb went off moments later, it came with a hail of small arms fire from a Hamas cell that had been hiding nearby.

Within minutes, five Israeli soldiers had been killed and 14 more wounded, some with critical injuries.

So, what the heck is going on with the latest ceasefire negotiation stuff ? Many sources had been saying a deal was likely by week's end. The week's gone already.

Enough is enough. Israel should be demanding ALL remaining hostages (dead and alive) to be returned in one last step, and just stick to that demand. I mean, of course, sadly, some unpleasant Hamas demands in return would have to be accepted, but the main thing for Israel at this very late stage in war should be to demand ALL hostages back in a single go. Those folks have suffered enough. It is not even clear how many of them are still alive.  Sad.

Ten people, including six children, have been killed in an Israeli air strike while waiting to fill water containers in central Gaza on Sunday, emergency service officials say.

Their bodies were sent to Nuseirat's al-Awda Hospital, which also treated 16 injured people including seven children, a doctor there said.

Eyewitnesses said a drone fired a missile at a crowd queuing with empty jerry cans next to a water tanker in al-Nuseirat refugee camp.

Later the Israeli military said there had been a "technical error" with a strike targeting an Islamic Jihad "terrorist" that caused the munition to fall dozens of metres from the target. The incident is under review, the military added.

FRANCE 24's Sharon Gaffney speaks to the IFRC spokesperson Tommaso Della Longa about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza amid continued Israeli strikes.

He stresses that there is no safe place for civilians or humanitarian workers today in Gaza and that plans to force Gazans to move to a planned 'humanitarian city' in Rafah are 'simply unacceptable'.

HE HAGUE (Reuters) -Judges at the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Wednesday rejected Israel's request to withdraw arrest warrants against its prime minister and former defence minister while the ICC reviews Israeli challenges to its jurisdiction over the conduct of the Gaza war.

In a decision published on the ICC website, judges also rejected an Israeli request to suspend the wider ICC investigation into alleged atrocity crimes in the Palestinian Territories.

The ICC issued arrest warrants on November 21 for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defence chief, Yoav Gallant, as well as a Hamas leader, Ibrahim al-Masri, for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza conflict.

Strikes hit the Holy Family Church in northern Gaza on Thursday morning, injuring several people including the parish priest, officials with the Catholic Church said.

Parish priest Fr. Gabriel Romanelli was very close with the late Pope Francis and the two spoke often during the war in Gaza.

The church was damaged in the attack, officials said, in what witnesses said appeared to be an Israeli tank shelling.

Pope Leo XIV has renewed his call for a Gaza ceasefire after three people sheltering in the Catholic church in Gaza City were killed in an Israeli strike.

A telegram said the Pope was "deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and injury caused by the military attack" on the Holy Family Church.

The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, which oversees the church, said it was "struck by the Israeli army". Nine other people were wounded, one of whom is in a critical condition in hospital. The parish priest was lightly injured.

The Israeli military published new evacuation warnings for areas of central Gaza on Sunday, in one of the few areas the military has rarely operated with ground troops.

The evacuation cuts access between the city of Deir al-Balah and the southern cities of Rafah and Khan Younis in the narrow enclave.

The announcement comes as Israel and Hamas have been holding ceasefire talks in Qatar, but international mediators say there have been no breakthroughs.

Israel orders evacuations in central Gaza as ceasefire talks stall and military offensive widens

It's noteworthy that the area under evacuation order is also where many international organizations attempting to distribute aid are located. Military spokesman Avichay Adraee told residents, including those sheltering in tents, to head to the Muwasi area, a desolate tent camp on Gaza’s southern shore that the Israeli military has designated a humanitarian zone.

It looks like the Israelis are attempting to corral all the Gazan residents to the deep south of Gaza.

At least 67 Palestinians have been killed and more than 150 injured while waiting for aid in northern Gaza, the territory's Hamas-run health ministry has said.

It was one of the highest reported death tolls among recent cases in which aid seekers have been killed, including 36 on Saturday, according to Gaza’s health ministry.

Another six people were killed near another aid site in the south, it added.

At least 67 Palestinians killed while waiting for aid in Gaza, medics say

Gaza's civil defence agency said Israeli forces opened fire on Sunday on a crowd of Palestinians waiting to collect humanitarian aid, providing a preliminary toll of at least 44 people killed. The latest deaths came as Pope Leo XIV slammed the "barbarity" of the war in Gaza in his traditional Sunday blessing.

Gaza's civil defence agency on Sunday said at least 44 people were killed when Israeli forces opened fire on a crowd of Palestinians waiting to collect humanitarian aid, in the latest killing of Palestinians seeking desperately needed food handouts.

"As of this moment, 44 people have been killed and dozens injured after Israeli forces opened fire on civilians waiting for aid," civil defence spokesman Mahmud Bassal told AFP, adding that the shooting took place near Gaza City in the territory's north.

(Reuters) -The World Health Organization said the Israeli military attacked its staff residence and main warehouse in the Gazan city of Deir al-Balah on Monday, compromising its operations in Gaza.

The United Nations agency said the WHO staff residence was attacked three times, with airstrikes causing a fire and

extensive damage, and endangering staff and their families, including children.

Israeli tanks pushed into southern and eastern districts of Deir al-Balah for the first time on Monday, an area where Israeli sources said the military believes hostages may be held. Tank shelling in the area hit houses and mosques, killing at least three Palestinians and wounding several others, local medics said.

WHO says Israeli military attacked staff residence in Gaza

At least 25 people were killed by Israeli air strikes and gunshots overnight, according to health officials and the ambulance service on Saturday, as ceasefire talks appear to have stalled and Palestinians in Gaza face famine.

The majority of victims were killed by gunfire as they waited for aid trucks close to the Zikim crossing with Israel, said staff at Shifa hospital, where the bodies were brought.

The Israeli army did not respond to requests for comments about the latest shootings.

Israeli air strikes in Gaza Strip leave at least 25 dead, health officials say

More than half of the dead were women and children, local health officials said. The strike was one of several across Gaza that killed at least 36 people the same day.

The attacks came just one day after Israel announced a daily 10-hour pause in operations in parts of Gaza to facilitate aid delivery.

The military has not commented on the strikes, which occurred outside the designated pause hours.

Intelligence analysis reveals Israel’s aid blockade and constant air attacks have backfired leaving him nearer isolation from his ally, the US. The Soufan Centre, run by Middle East expert Ali Souffan, says he “is coming under broad pressure to wind down Israel’s military involvement in Gaza” as US President Donald Trump draws back from his support because of the famine.

“Trump has not urged him to end the war,” says the independent analysis organisation’s report. “But he has broken with him on the humanitarian situation.”

The report adds that Mr Trump’s aides “appear to be pressing on with efforts to forge another temporary ceasefire”. It came as a United Nations Food Security panel claimed “the worst-case scenario of famine is playing out in the Strip”.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has accused Israeli forces of attacking its headquarters in Gaza, killing one worker and injuring three others.

The humanitarian organisation said the attack "sparked a fire in the building" in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Describing the overnight attack on the facility in the southern city of Khan Younis as "deliberate", the Red Crescent said its HQ's location is "well known" to the Israeli military and is "clearly marked with the protective red emblem".

Gaza City has come under intense air attack, the territory's Hamas-run civil defence agency has said, as Israeli forces prepare to occupy the city. Mahmud Bassal, a spokesman, said the residential areas of Zeitoun and Sabra had for three days been hit by bombs and drone strikes that "cause massive destruction to civilian homes", with residents unable to recover the dead and injured.

Meanwhile the UK, EU, Australia, Canada and Japan issued a statement saying "famine is unfolding in front of our eyes" and urged action to "reverse starvation".

Separately, the World Health Organisation on Tuesday appealed to Israel to let it stock medical supplies to deal with a "catastrophic" health situation before it seizes control of Gaza City.

The 24-hour death toll was the worst in a week and added to the massive fatalities from the nearly two-year war that has shattered the enclave housing more than 2 million Palestinians.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated an idea - also enthusiastically floated by U.S. President Donald Trump - that Palestinians should simply leave.

"They’re not being pushed out, they’ll be allowed to exit," he told Israeli television channel i24NEWS.

Israel will need to mobilize up to 100,000 reservists for its expanded military campaign in the Gaza Strip, according to deployment plans reported by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth on Thursday.

The planned offensive envisages the seizure of Gaza City in the north, as well as the destruction of Hamas in the refugee camps in central Gaza.

According to the newspaper, the campaign in Gaza City, especially in high-rise neighbourhoods in the west of the metropolis, as well as in other northern parts of the Gaza Strip, could continue well into 2026.

Demonstrators rallied across Israel on Sunday, demanding an end to the war in Gaza and a deal to free the remaining hostages, as the military readies a new offensive.

The protests come amid rising domestic pressure and international concern over the humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian territory.

Demonstrators took to the streets across Israel Sunday calling for an end to the war in Gaza and a deal to release hostages still held by militants, as the military prepares a new offensive.

You think they are terrorists, others don’t.

I think Israeli govt are terrorists, esp Israel Katz.

Several countries around the world, including the US, have labeled settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank as “terrorism.”

Katz boasted about his decision to abolish administrative detention orders for Israeli settlers accused of attacking Palestinians.

I think Smotrich and Ben Gvir are terrorists, don’t you? You may be aware the UK sanctioned both these scum, to use your term for terrorist.

A settler in Kiryat Arba, one of the most radical settlements in the occupied West Bank (all of which are illegal under international law), Ben-Gvir has been convicted of incitement to racism, destroying property, possessing a “terror” organisation’s propaganda material and supporting a “terror” organisation – Meir Kahane’s outlawed Kach group, which he joined when he was 16.

Hamas has agreed to the latest proposal from regional mediators for a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal with Israel, a source in the Palestinian armed group has told the BBC.

The proposal from Egypt and Qatar is said to be based on a framework put forward by US envoy Steve Witkoff in June.

It would see Hamas free around half of the 50 remaining Israeli hostages - 20 of whom are believed to be alive - in two batches during an initial 60-day truce.
