Jen Psaki Expresses Concern for President Biden During a Difficult Summer
Nobody seems to remember that the guy is still president. When even Jen Psaki wonders if he's okay. When Israel is facing an existential threat and WW3 and nuclear annihilation is a distinct danger in Europe, we've got a president whose own DOJ has declared unfit to stand trial because he's an old guy with a bad memory. -

Congress Faces Intensifying Battle Over Government Funding as Shutdown Looms
LOL! Just what I was thinking. For the record, it was longer than his usual posts and contained less spelling errors. So there's some validity to questioning whether it was Tug himself who wrote it. Maybe he dictated the first sentence to his grandchild or something? It's like debating with children. They observe that when they make unsubstantiated factual claims we often demand links for evidence, so think that's what you do whenever you hear something you don't agree with. -

Jakrapob Penkair Tipped for Government Spokesperson Role
On September 9, reports from Government House indicated that during the first official Cabinet meeting, set for September 17 at 10:00 AM, appointments for political positions, including ministerial secretaries and advisors, will be made. Many of these positions are expected to be filled by individuals who served under former Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin's government, although some ministries may see adjustments to ensure appropriateness. Each party is currently reviewing candidates. Among the appointments is the nomination for the role of spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office. Several candidates are under consideration, including Jakrapob Penkair, a former Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office in the government of former Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej, and a former spokesperson in Thaksin Shinawatra's administration. Jakrapob's name is reportedly a leading contender for the position. Picture courtesy: Daily News -- 2024-09-10 Get the ASEAN NOW daily NEWSLETTER - Click HERE to subscribe -

Thailand Accelerates 145 Billion Baht Digital Wallet Payout
Without the digital aspects of the proposed E-Wallet scheme, this revised scheme appears to be more corruptible and abused. In the past, ie., under PM Prayut, such "gifts" to the public never improved the economy other than to increase government debt. -
