What really grinds your gears in Pattaya
It's Mumbai.... obviously a very long time since you were there and they were definitely walking in the road then too. -

'Special' (Private) room at Hua Hin Hospital.
At the government hospital here on Samui, I tried to get a private room for a friend. She had tuberculosis. Luckily, none available. If we got one, I would have had to stay in the room with her 24/7. Same thing, no nurses. -

What really grinds your gears in Pattaya
I think you might be exaggerating somewhat... but indeed, in a country mostly without pavements, road walking is the norm. -

Latest developments and discussion of recent events in the Ukraine War
Agreed - and there are plenty of assymetric levers to pull now in this highly connected world that don't need nukes. Cut internet cables ,destroy satellites, hack critical infrastructure and punch David Lammy in the face. At the moment the Russian's plan seems to totally destroy it's power grid which is back to the stone age bombing that the US was so happy to trumpet in times past. -

Plug and Play Solar
Just read an article that these kind of panels are popping up al over Germany. I have no idea how this works and can we buy them in Thailand? For me this plug and play means like you hang a panel on the wall or balcony and plug it into a socket and done. Likely this is wrong. -

World’s best hotel: Bangkok’s Mandarin Oriental steals the show
I often times find myself laughing at these absolutely silly and ridiculous surveys. I can understand if they said best hotel in Bangkok, maybe. I might argue if they said best hotel in Thailand, but best hotel in the world? Are you kidding me, it's probably not even in the top 50 hotels in the world. -

Trump Harris: Who won the debate ?
The vice president of the United States is the second-highest office in the executive branch of the U.S. federal government. The modern vice presidency is a position of significant power. The vice president is also a statutory member of the United States Cabinet and United States National Security Council and thus plays a significant role in executive government and national security matters. Kamala Harris can't escape the charge that she has done little to put in place the economic, immigration and other policies she supposedly always had as "values", when she has for almost 4 years been in such a position of considerable executive power. -
