Awesome, bloodless coup for the military.  One week's work got rid of MFP and the PM.

No tanks necessary.

Yes it's certainly a continuation of the soft coup approach but sooner or later the hand of the military and it's boss will be forced. The military will have no qualms about shooting Thai citizens that protest the rule of the military and it's boss. The day will come. The soft coup approach will no longer be able to be used.

Despite Srettha’s argument that, as a businessman, he was not familiar with legal intricacies, the court found this defence unacceptable. The court highlighted that Phichit's criminal history was publicly known and that Srettha had sought advice from the Council of State, indicating his awareness of potential qualification issues.

This what happens when you put your trust in the hands of a man from afar Srettha, thought you were smarter

Exactly !!  They have learned that tanks coming in and them sorting it out, only ever results with the same problem (Democracy) happening again. So they learned that what was needed was to change the Institutions and appoint the right people in them, and thereby make them capable of doing the work that their tanks did previously.  MFP/Pita gone. Thaksin depositioned.  Who will they put in place next. Me thinks a 'compromise' person not embedded with PT, but one proven to be willing to go along with their agenda in return for political power - Anutin?  I know he is 'problematic' to many in PT and will probably not get the nod, but Bhumjaithai played it smart/clever and the Party has got a lot of 'aligned' Senators appointed and therefore he has some real political power/influence behind him.

Clearly Srettha was set up by the 'undisclosed individual' who advised him to include Phichit in his cabinet. After following that advice he was never going to be in office for very long.

Just wondering what happens nw with the guy who has been a full minister but did some 8 years in Jail for various serious drug offences.

Opinions / comments welcome.
