hi,may i renew my 2 years thai driving licence with 60 days visa exemption.thank
Why not get a proper visa and remove doubt? IMO one has to be a resident, not just a tourist, as a tourist can drive on a home licence with an IDP. I may be wrong of course. -

Helicopter Rescue for Elderly Flood Victims in Mae Sai
Pictures and video courtesy of DDPM. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), on September 12, deployed a helicopter to rescue three elderly individuals, including one bedridden patient, who were trapped in their single-story home in Mae Sai district, Chiang Rai. Ms. Traisulee Traisoranakul, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, provided an update following a meeting with local officials from the flood-affected provinces of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has been closely monitoring relief efforts for affected residents. Ms. Traisulee addressed recent social media criticism regarding the non-deployment of the KA-32 disaster relief helicopter during thunderstorms. She clarified that the DDPM follows strict safety protocols, and the helicopter was launched as soon as weather conditions permitted. Today, after evaluating safe weather conditions, the DDPM, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Army, deployed the KA-32 helicopter. The DDPM's rescue team, "The Guardian Team," successfully carried out a mission to assist the three elderly residents, with all three being winched up to the helicopter before being transferred to safety. Additionally, the team delivered food and water to 140 teachers and students at Samakkhi Pattana School in the Mong Kao Lang area, Mae Fah Luang district, where landslides had blocked roads and caused power outages, cutting off water and phone services. Trump Harris: Who won the debate ?
That would only apply had Trump been thumped. It was like being savaged by a small and very annoying puppy. Had Trump actually been thumped I'd have watched it instead of just listening while doing something more useful, like cleaning my wardrobe. -

What’s the best area in Thailand for expats to settle for long-term living?
It was a decent answer to your rambling out of the blue. There is a line of answers before you educating me about Koh meaning Islands. So I prefer Islands over Hua Hin. Hua Hin suits old men and couples. -

Which has nothing to do with the moderators. That's up to the opposing candidate to point out. The debate was not supposed to be 3 to 1. -

Man Shoots and Kills Brother-in-Law Over Land Inheritance Dispute
Picture from the scene. A fatal family feud over inherited land led to the tragic death of 57-year-old Mr. Phongsak (last name withheld), who was shot and killed by his brother-in-law, Mr. Manoon, aged 62, in Phatthalung province. The incident occurred around 11:50 on September 12. Police from Khuan Khanun Station, together with forensic officers and rescue personnel, were dispatched to the scene in front of a house in Moo 16, Cha Muang sub-district, Khuan Khanun district. The victim was found lying next to his pickup truck, with multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen, right upper arm, and left leg, caused by a long-barreled shotgun. Investigators recovered shotgun pellets and found damage to the house window screen and louvers, evidence of the gunfire. The shooter, Mr. Manoon, the victim's brother-in-law and owner of the house, surrendered to the police shortly after the shooting. According to initial reports, the victim had driven his pickup to the house and was shot by Mr. Manoon as he exited the vehicle. The shooter fired through a window, fatally wounding Mr. Phongsak. Mrs. Sumitra, 67, wife of the shooter, stated that she was doing laundry at the time of the incident and did not hear any argument due to the noise from the washing machine. She only heard a single gunshot and rushed to investigate, only to be stopped by her husband, who confessed, "I've shot your brother." Shocked, she discovered her brother lying dead next to the truck. The dispute stemmed from a long-standing conflict over inherited land. Mrs. Sumitra explained that her family had already transferred ownership of one plot, about 4 rai, to the victim. However, Mr. Phongsak had been pressuring them to transfer a second plot, approximately 7 rai, which had been mortgaged to the bank. Unable to meet his demands, tensions escalated over the years, culminating in the fatal confrontation. According to Mrs. Sumitra, Mr. Phongsak had been threatening them, even warning that if the land was not transferred, he would "lay funeral flowers" for the family. He had been visiting the house repeatedly for three days before the shooting, demanding that the land be transferred. Mrs. Nanta, 49, wife of the victim, expressed disbelief that family members could resort to such violence. She revealed that the disputed 7 rai plot included a house, a palm plantation, and a rubber plantation. The shooter's family had mortgaged the land, leading to severe financial trouble. Her husband had been negotiating to claim his rightful share, intending to sell it to help settle the debt. However, the family conflict remained unresolved, and in a final confrontation, her husband was shot and killed. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. -- 2024-09-13 Get the ASEAN NOW daily NEWSLETTER - Click HERE to subscribe -

Trump Harris: Who won the debate ?
It's not the moderators job to correct what the candidates say. That is up to the opposing participant to point out in response time. It's certainly biased when it's only done to one participant. It was a disgrace. -
