Yes, I did get the length of the sentence incorrect and I corrected it on one post but the other had already been quoted.

But the point stands, a jail term for a Facebook post that asks a question is completely unacceptable. It's totalitarian in the extreme.

........unless the context in which they were posted is taken into account.....as the judge stated

I would take Ben Wallace's analaysis over your frothy mouthed enthusiasms any time.

  • In WW2, it was mostly the Ukrainians and Belarusans who did the dying for the Russians. Russian tanks were built from US steel. Russian trucks wre mostly Fords and Chevrolets. Britain started supplymt

A good story.

:clap2:

And if it were not for the US and the British, sending arms, ammunition, fuel. vehicles, aircraft and medicines etc through the Arctic convoy routes, Persia and into North Eastern Russia, Russia may well have lost the European side of Russia to the Germans. That of course was at the cost of hundreds of US and British lives. Many were Royal Navy, Merchant Navy or USN sailors who froze to death in the Arctic waters, or perhaps burnt alive when their ships were sunk.

Some facts that you conveniently forgot to mention.

It also allowed the rise to immense power of the NKVD, then the GRU, which then became the KGB, which in turn became the FSB.

Who was in charge of the FSB?

Could it have been Putin himself?
