BMI = Weight/Height squared. For me 73 / 1.75 x 1.75 = 23.83. So if I want it lowered, I must grow another couple of centimetres. 555 -

Damned law getting in the way of imprisoning Americans without the citizen Grand Jury indicting on the basis of evidence presented warranting a separate citizen Trial Jury listening to the prosecution evidence and the defense evidence being presented. I am sure we can get around this as soon as Trump is elected and Project 2025 is put into action! -

5 Former Defence Secretaries Urge UK to Allow Ukraine to Use Long Range Missiles
What proof do you have with TRump saying he would give the Ukraine to Russia to appease them? I think you are spouting political garbage to make something against Trump. Show us all the links where he is quoted saying this. -

Tariffs and how Trump is a socialist.
Tariffs, another word for import/export tax. Usually used to protect local industries that might suffer from (unfair) competition by foreign compagnies. Tariffs in Trump world however are seen as income from said foreign competition. This is a false and rather stupid claim. Lets explain: I have a manufacture business and order some parts from China. The parts cost me $ 100,-- per piece. I then use this for my final products and that costs me $ 10,-- per piece. I have to pay distributor's $ 10,-- per piece and my margin is $ 30,-- per piece. You, the costumer are now paying $ 150,--. Simple right! Here come the tariffs: The guy from China is still charging me $ 100,-- per piece but now I have to pay $ 50,-- import tax. So now you, the consumer will have to pay $ 200,-- for the same product because my firm is not going to take the loss of import tax. Lucky for you, I still have a year worth of products in my warehouse so you won't yet feel the pain. However after 6 months my distributor starts to charge me $ 15,-- per piece because he's been hit by tariffs as well and just like me, he is not going to suffer. He will let me pay the price. So I up my price by not $ 5,-- but $ 15,-- . Why? Not all to much pieces left on the market so I figure I can up my price. After all it's a free market and I'm a capitalist. My warehouse is now empty, all prices have gone up because they all have been hit by tariffs. I calculate and now my product will cost you $ 275-- per piece. Voila, inflation. So why is Trump a socialist (as in the way European countries are)? Remember what he said about childcare and how that was just a little bit of money compared to all the "big" stuff? Remember how he said that tariffs are going to pay for it? What he was saying (without understanding it himself) was that tax (tariffs) were going to pay for it. That is exactly what European countries do ! You pay tax and get healthcare, child support and so on. Trump is a socialist. -

Heavy duty speaker stands in Thailand? Where to buy them or get them custom made?
There's some super heavy wooden planks - I think 18K/meter. That would be perfect to build a speaker enclosure/boxes. Very challenging but I can assure you it is very cool and nobody can afford real ones -

Yes and Winston Churchill was a Liberal and Adam Kinzinger is still a Republican. You're keeping up very well. -

5 Former Defence Secretaries Urge UK to Allow Ukraine to Use Long Range Missiles
The fact is we can (for now) still get other views is in spite of what the state wants ,why are they trying so hard to shut down RT, removed from youtube and many "freeview" cable and satellite feeds the recent Tenent media "scandal" the arrests of pro Palestinian journalists in UK.. facebook posters comments on riots ,Russell Brand, Alex Jones etc etc etc Slowly but surely their grip on the media space tightens eventually all you will be left with is the "approved official credible source narrative" with no room for descent or disagreement from that narrative else you'll be labelled as as conspiracy theorist or worse a terrorist and locked up... -

What song brings back a cherished childhood memory, and what is that memory?
Another song which has stuck with me through the years is Running Bear. It was played at the funeral of a classmate when I was about ten. My mother and some other parents were totallly outraged that a pop song was played at a funeral, but they didn't say anything. According to the mother of the girl wgo was buried, Running Bear had been her daughter's favorite song. When we got home, my mom just shook her head and said something about "white trash." I didn't share my mom's opinion and thought it was fitting they had played a song the girl liked. -

Wat Ratchabophit Bans Wedding Ceremonies Amid Social Media Buzz
In a bid to maintain its sacred integrity, the revered Wat Ratchabophit Sathitmahasimaram temple has officially banned wedding ceremonies and pre-wedding photoshoots. This announcement was made on September 15, quelling widespread social media rumours suggesting otherwise. The temple, known for its tranquil grounds and stunning architecture, emphasized that only activities in line with Buddhist traditions would be allowed, and even those require prior approval. “Wedding ceremonies? Absolutely not!”, declared the temple. Only merit-making activities, like offering alms to monks or chanting scriptures, will be permitted within the hallowed halls. The establishment explicitly stated that ring exchanges, water-pouring rituals, and similar nuptial activities are strictly out of bounds. Addressing the swirling misinformation, the temple warned against unauthorized gossip, cautioning that spreading false claims is strongly disapproved. They also issued a stern reminder to visitors: staff are under strict orders not to accept cash or gifts related to merit-making activities. The bans extend to commercial endeavours as well. Photography, videography, and product advertising that might disrupt the temple's peace and sanctity are forbidden. Any behaviour seen as inappropriate could prompt local government intervention. Visitors are urged to dress modestly and respect Thai traditions. Couple photoshoots and entertainment activities using sacred sites as backdrops are prohibited, and disturbing monks or worshippers is strictly forbidden. The temple firmly stressed its non-affiliation with any businesses claiming to offer religious ceremonies or weddings. Misleading claims would face investigations and potential legal action. For any suspicious activities or misleading claims, the temple urges people to report to the Special Affairs Group at the Secretariat of the Supreme Patriarch. The temple’s message is clear: uphold the sanctity of Wat Ratchabophit — a place for worship and spiritual solace, not wedding fantasies. File photo for reference only -- 2024-09-17 -

Wife transfers from dependent visa to Retirement Visa in case I pass away before her.
No idea what charges you incur for a direct wire transfer, but you should compare those charges against using 'Wise', which the majority of expats use for transfers. Transparent site, low cost fees and good exchange rates. Yes. Transfer 65K per month to a Thai bank account in your wife's sole name, and she qualifies for an extension of stay based on retirement (50+) in her own right, not as a dependant of you. The 65K per month can be immediately withdrawn and used for expenses. Ignore the tax thing!
