Controversial Rooftop Cannabis Farm Stirs School in Mukdahan

Trouble brews in Mukdahan as the pervasive odor from a neighbouring cannabis farm disrupts a local kindergarten. The issue, flagged by teachers and parents, centres on cannabis plants cultivated on a building directly opposite the school. The strong smell and leaks from the farm's rooftop and interior are causing significant distress, school officials report.

Mr. Adul Siriman, Head of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation at Mukdahan Municipality, confirmed that initial complaints to local authorities have gone unaddressed. The farm's owner insists on having legal permission from Mukdahan Provincial Public Health Office to cultivate cannabis. Municipal officials' inspections reveal cannabis plants flourishing on the rooftop, exacerbating the odour problem.

The smell of maturing cannabis plants, along with fertilizers and chemicals used to boost flowering, complicates the situation further. Not to mention, frequent power outages in the area, attributed to the cultivation site's high air conditioning and misting system usage, add to the woes.

Mr. Siriman assured that the municipality plans to work with government agencies to address the complaints and urgently review the cannabis cultivation permit in question. The well-being of the school’s children and the broader community remains the top priority, reported The Pattaya News.

Yeah, understandable. Maybe a rooftop, is not the best place to make a farm.

Typical

They won’t allow a bar within 100 meters of a school and yet they didn’t have the smarts to make this a law with marijuana. Stupid is as stupid does.
