That's nice in theory.

In practice, very few people trained in critical thinking, or how to evaluate data. How to ask the right questions.

Climate change and global warming are good examples.

95% of scientists know the two are caused by human activity. The other 5% have a vested interest in denial, much like scientists who work in the tobacco and alcohol industry.

When only 0.5% of the world's population are scientists, it's very easy to outnumber them on social media with scientifically illiterate posters.

What are you going on about :cheesy:

Why would Trump need a pardon, or even a commutation of sentence (jail) since not sentences for anything yet, and doubtful jail time will be in any sentence.  If so, on indefinite appeal till it gets to the SCOTUS.

Just another bash Trump thread ...  :coffee1:

If there was only a safe & effective vaccine for that syndrome :cheesy:

So you don't think that Harris should pardon Trump.

I can't even comment on such a silly 'what if' scenario.

Who even thinks of this sh!t :cheesy:

What if, that big A$$ rock headed toward earth in 2036, is guaranteed to hit earth, should we let all the criminals in jail out a few hours before ? :coffee1:

You can bet that Trump is thinking about it.

If he loses badly, he might cut a deal to not contest the election in exchange for a pardon.

The Jan 6 insurrection, fake electors, and theft of top secret documents are all serious criminal matters.

I suppose you are confirming how screwed up the American legal system is. In many countries, Trump would be in jail already.

I saw charges

related to top secret documents was thrown out yesterday..

Every president in my lifetime has gotten into a kerfuffle about taking their personal papers when they left the White House.  Trump's the only one that's been prosecuted for it.  Dismissing the case was the only way the American legal system could work properly.

He did not take only personal papers is the problem with your thesis. Top secret US documents do not fit that description in any way, shape, or form.

"I can't even comment on such a silly 'what if' scenario."

Then why post in this thread? After all what you can't comment about is the thread topic.

First post in thread was relative to topic.  The rest were replies to silly replies to me, such as.

Personally no.......rich people all over the world literally get away with murder because their position and wealth.

However, it might be a smart move to pardon him in the interests of the US generally.

You are suggesting pardoning him as you think his more extreme followers would cause mass civil unrest but how about pardoning him because the charges against him were all politically motivated?
