Better late than never.

Hopefully other European countries follow Mr Wilders on this.

They will do, or be forced to admit the dreaded 'hard right' parties into power. The rise of the NR in France and the Afd in Germany is not an accident. It's the people expressing their frustration at the elites ignoring the majority view on immigration for far too long.

And here's the thing: calling a state of emergency would have to be accepted by EU. And it's only possible for a limited time if citizens of Netherland would be in danger.

This is not the case. And as far as I know by lawyers this "new law" can't be implemented, because it's illegal. This is why Germany didn't start to go that way.

A solution is possible by changing EU laws, which is a long way.

Lawyers are part of the problem, they would defend a fraudulent system, if the system has loopholes, they will unscrupulously make use of loopholes. Recently a young asyl seeker in NL almost set aboard the plane to his safe home country was released by a lawyer who found a loophole by involving the father as caretaker of his son.

Lawyers also defend drug criminals, try to keep them out of jail. So why are we excited by the opinion of a lawyer ?  Wrong laws need to be changed and the EU will have to listen to the majority of member states.

I agree, it's late. The problem is aggravated by companies who claim they need immigrants to get the work done. This is nonsense too, they only want to save on salaries.

It should be adopted by all countries.

The world has gone mad, this open door policy (or similar) doesn't work, some nationalities can't/won't assimilate in other countries, they misbehave, behave inappropriately, then we see riots.

The Sydney Cronulla riots is a good example and there was the recent unrest in the UK, now some are calling these poor people who have been antagonized and provoked, 'FAR RIGHT'.

People just want their normal society back.

Only countries which have proper economies and don't rely on housing bubbles to prop up the economy can afford to shut their doors - like Germany and Japan. This doesn't apply to Australia, UK or Canada - ever increasing number of immigrants are needed to keep the house prices rising.

Difference being expats are paying their way and not scrounging off the state, which is pretty much impossible here. Compare that with my country where they routinely dish out funds and accommodation to illegal 'aliens' while its own people sleep rough on the streets. It's disgusting.

Well Germany is already doing something, they started with border controls again.

I thought already 2 weeks ago , but no, it had just started. Maybe funded as well by the Dutch government?

Of course there is  an uproar about this, not allowed(?) by EU government.

EU government fails on everything and is the worst thing ever started.

TO give an example of stupidity in Netherlands, but not the only one.

They have Eritreans, 2 groups in the country. One is pro regime and other anti.

What are pro regime doing there? THe pro seemed to have a party this year, so anti wanted to break that up.

The anti, had a riot and fought only police , giving casualties and destroyed many things.

The year before that they also did, but seemed some more gentle then.

It would be good to round them all up and send them back, all of them.

But no they dont, the Dutch people would be more helped by Faber and Wilders if they did.

What they sure do, is kicking out a boy, born in Holland, in puberty now and to be sent off to ... his country?

As he has another nationality. And they do and did it with more children, teenagers residing in Holland.

It seems the Eritrean do it everywhere, like Israel, Sweden, Germany and even USA. You can find on internet.

It is said, there are leaders in the pack to create those situations and are a part of the regime.

The Eritrean regime want to disturb countries with riots.

It all start with a party of the pro's and then anti's step in for riot.

Well done Holland.....let's see some more EU countries adopting common sense. I say asylum for no men of fighting age and no single males over the age of 10.

I don't think this will be allowed. They're attempting to bypass parliament and be exempt from EU regulations.

Both very likely a no go.

and I hope they give the finger salute to the EU regulations and do the right thing for their citizens.

The fight back has begun and it's great to see it.

Opposition to the proposed policies has been swift. Critics, including members of the opposition and civil society, have called the emergency law undemocratic. The Dutch Council for Refugees voiced concerns that “refugees would pay a high price” under the new rules.

Oh boo hoo. It's those people that have created the problem in the first place- just ignore them and do the right thing.

The economic migrants refugees will be going home, with any luck. Pity they lost all the money they paid criminal gangs to get them to Holland, but that's life. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.

You absolutely have to insist on assimilation and you have to make a staged approach to asylum based on an immigrants ability to prove that they're assimilating into society.

I advocate that any Muslim family with a teenage daughter prove that she's participated in a two piece bikini contest in public by the age of 16 and that their teenage sons have no affiliation whatsoever with local Madrasas, or Mullahs preaching extremism. You want to live here, show us, and demonstrate that you will not remain culturally isolated, and will make an effort to move into the 21st century. If not, there shall be immediate consequences.

Contrary to what Trump and Vance say, there are very few illegal aliens in Springfield, Ohio. And none of them eat dogs and cats. The mayor made it very clear that they were brought there on a program in concert with the immigration Bureau and that all 15,000 of them were legal. So much of this immigration drama is fake, so much of it is an overly dramatic fiction created by the Republicans.

Biden’s incompetence has led to a horrific 300,000 Americans now dead, not from a nuclear bomb but from lethal fentanyl brought in through Biden’s wide-open border.”

THE FACTS: While it is correct that much of America’s fentanyl is smuggled from Mexico, 86.4% of fentanyl trafficking crimes were committed by U.S. citizens in the 12-month period through September 2023, according to the U.S. Sentencing Commission.

Texas is the only state that tracks crime by immigration status. A study published by the National Academy of Sciences, based on Texas Department of Public Safety data from 2012 to 2016, found people in the U.S. illegally had “substantially lower crime rates than native-born citizens and legal immigrants across a range of felony offenses.”
