Looking at that damage to the pickup I'm surprised the train was allowed to continue. Air hoses, hydraulic lines etc. all OK??

The train collided with a pickup truck, killing all three passengers inside, the impact dragged the vehicle over 1 kilometre before the train came to a stop.

Authorities found the bodies of the three victims, later identified as Ms. Chatjada Charoenjing (44), Mrs. Saijai Thaveesin (51), and Mr. Prajed Thaveesin (57), thrown from the pickup, approximately 100 metres from the crossing. About 1 kilometre from where the bodies were discovered, the remains of the white pickup were found mangled beyond recognition along the railway tracks. Police documented the scene while a Surathani-Bangkok Sprinter train sat motionless around 30-40 meters away, with railway staff awaiting questioning.

The crossing where the accident occurred lacked warning signals or barriers and is on a narrow dirt road, and vehicles must exercise extreme caution when crossing.
