I only use tv at gym, and im ok using my lap top on my balcony where I have a view and speakers outside. Im outside from sunrise to sunset unless there is to hot I even have my bath tub on my balcony watching my tv on my lap top. to be Honest, we do not have a dining room, just outside space, large kitchen, large gym, and the family look tv in their bedroom when staying here.

Nice. So do you Cast/Mirror when using the TV?

Test while streaming TV on lap top with vpn while using phone as a hub without vpn, and 2. test with vpn on both devices.

I'm very satisfied

That's an important difference between AIS and the others. Symmetry. Other networks may offer the advertised speed for downloads only, with upload speeds being far less.

I am sorry you are so negative but obviously you have little to no knowledge of coverage. If you did you wouldn't come out with the drivel you just have. He wants a tourist SIM. You will not get unlimited coverage with a 1 month SIM.

I don't understand what you have written there. What is unlimited coverage?

As a tourist you wont get unlimited coverage from any of the big operators SIM cards. Reason is they do not give 100% coverage across the entire country. If you look for the operator coverage maps you will see this. Granted the lack of coverage is pretty much in the areas of low population. In the main cities and tourist areas there is coverage, in which case see if AIS does a monthly internet which I am sure they probably will.

So you are suggesting that a 'one month' Prepaid SIM will have less coverage than a Postpaid SIM? 😊

With a tourist sim you have unlimited, but not unlimited speed, that depends on your deal 😄 Anyway, so many details, but the coverage is the same everywhere you go, no matter what they do. If you use to many gigabites, some might lower your speed, and if you complain, you might fix it with a phone call if lucky.

To be honest, I'm just as confused with your reply as with @Photoguy21😊 Nothing to do with not being in good mood.

Unlike J J who refuses to divulge good month by month deals I am more than happy to do so

Truemove and theres a package there to suit everyone including 6 month deals and 365 days deals

Just utilised one myself for a hotspot

https://iservice.true.th/buy-extra-package

OP is on AIS and prefers AIS. So not much use in this case.

TruemoveH page has already been posted elsewhere. Nothing new.

After 10 years of absence, back in Pattaya for 60 days. I need a reasonable SIM card for 2 months use including data volume. Using my Pixel 7a as HotSpot for my Samsung Tab S8 both 5g. Hope there is free WLAN in my Hotel. It should be valid indefinitely and allow rooming after I leave Thailand.Active for incoming calls in Germany. Does anyone have any recommendations including buying one at the airport.Hope I am right Here.

No such thing as valid indefinitely, you'll need to continue to top it up. You can max it out to twelve months each time with up to 12 x 10 or 20 baht top ups or it with TruemoveH/DTAC, you can extend to a year with a single payment.

You can purchase an Unlimited data @10Mbps pack from AIS, Truemove H or DTAC for 481.50 per month or 100GB of 'Max speed' data for 399 baht per month.

Alternatively, they all have variations on this package for 300 baht monthly(This one from AIS):

  • 5G internet 40GB (+15Mbps internet speed 60GB per month)
  • FUP 1Mbps
  • Unlimited free calls to all networks (15 minutes/call)
  • AIS WIFI free unlimited
  • AIS Play family free

You'll still have to top it up.. later you can tap a code in that extends the days. But you need a credit balance to pay the fee.

I bought one of those several years ago and still use it.  It can easily be extended past its initial 30 days.  The only minor issue is the maximum validity you can extend to is 90 days - I did question them on this point and they just said that was the limit on their tourist SIM.  Not an issue for me as I top up monthly in any case but if out of Thailand and not using it much you'll need to remember to top-up/extend every 90 days.  And yes, it'll work in Germany, you can easily activate roaming through the Truemove app.

To make it 365 days, you need to change the base package from Tourist SIM to a normal base package.

Thanks, yes, I thought it would be easy to do (funny they didn't mention it) but as said it's no issue for me as I just buy a data pack each month.

Neglected to answer your question. No, you cannot extend the package. This in their blurb(though likely you can apply other packages):

  • The use of extra data will be charged at 1.5 Baht/MB. You can press *900*1756# to subscribe to NON-STOP Internet with max 4G speed at 3GB 8 days 150 Baht (VAT included).

Thanks again.A question, yet.....can I use my Voip Apps for my German Land lines ( incoming calls FritzFonApp, EasybellApp?

I can confirm that you can apply any of their prepaid packs, most of which are far better than the one you quoted, I use 99GB full speed 30 days inc. calls, 319 baht + VAT.

Personally, I wouldn't, as you will only have the package for one month and then you have to apply for something else. Possibly an Unlimited 20 Mbps pack for 475 baht for the second month, but all the other features disappear.
