Taylor Swift Shines in Poll, Surpassing Expectations Against Trump and Harris

Silly poll. Taylor Swift has millions of young girls as her fans. However the 'swifties ' are not old enough to vote so pretty pointless exercise.

While she is a pretty singer of pretty songs, does she have any political experience, does she have any international experience?

The US could do worse than Swift as POTUS. If Harris can be, Swift should be a shoo in.

Does not really matter about having any experience anymore. Presidents just need to win the minds of the idiots in the country who want so hard to believe them that they believe anything said. I say let her run for President next elections. She has a good chance to win and can sway voters with her songs haha. Experience is not a pre-requisite any more. Just look how Harris and Trump are doing with their limited experience. If Reagan can win, then Swift could win also. Even Arnold Schwarzenegger was a politician who won simply because people liked him and his wife had connections in political circles.

Incorrect, as has been shown many times. They're old enough to vote.

But agree, silly poll.

None of which gives her international experience.

Trump WAS the POTUS for 4 years, in case you forgot. 4 years during which the US didn't declare war on any country, in case you forgot.

Trump had no experience in 2016, which was a positive in your opinion.  I really can't see any reason for her to run in 2028, but if she were, trump would not be her opponent.

I'd have to know who would be pulling her strings before I'd agree with that. We don't know who has been pulling Biden's strings and look at the disaster that is the US today.

Having said that, she would make presidential events much more worth watching. She might even break into song on occasion.

Lord spare us...

Lets put Bugs Bunny onto the political stage .............

If a country may choose between two candidates for presidency while you have fifty young women queueing for the title of Miss America, then you know that it must be a weird country.

The result is evident and, in many cases, a catastrophic impact for the rest of the planet 😞

No experience?

Harris has two degrees, had a successful career as a lawyer and was elected Attorney General of California ( a state with an economy so large it would rank as #9 in the world if it were a separate country) despite not being either white or a man. AG is a position of considerable responsibility and is often  a pathway into politics.

Trump has managed to lose most of his inherited wealth ( hence his desperate merchandising ) and was the host of a TV show.

We are better than that

Taylor would win and would do a good job.  It's not a 1 person job.   Lots of intelligent advisors surround the president.

US is only messed up in the fact trump has revealed the poor education level and racism that wasn't in your face.

I'd expect her to poll higher than Harris.

Both clueless but Swift is cuter and doesn't cackle like a hyena.

Trump had no Washington experience, correct, which meant he was less likely to be contaminated politically.

Stranger things have happened than Swift going for politics- Reagan comes to mind.

Even I hope that if he loses, this is the last time Trump attempts to be POTUS. In that case he should retire and play golf.

Should he win, I think the next time will be much more entertaining than the last Trump as POTUS melodrama.

One can only hope that in that event most of the Trump haters will emigrate elsewhere. I hear Venezuala has a nice climate.

I suspect any appearance of being clueless is a carefully cultivated image. One doesn't turn being pretty and singing pretty songs into a major money making operation without a sharp mind. Being female, she is facing the age related consignment to indifference, so is doubtless mining it while still pretty. As in dabbling in politics to keep her name in the spotlight.

IMO.

IMO any half way decent female politician would poll higher than Harris, which is why she was installed without a significant vote wanting her to be POTUS. Far as I know the only time she faced the voters was years ago in a primary in which she failed miserably.

So no experience was a positive for trump and a negative for swift.

No surprise coming from you.

My comment re Swift was re INTERNATIONAL experience, and my comment re Trump was re WASHINGTON experience.

Perhaps the capitals will allow you to actually read what I wrote without jumping to conclusions that are patently wrong.

However, no surprise coming from you.
