American Found Dead In His South Pattaya Apartment

Just after 7am on Friday, Police Lieutenant Colonel Samlan from Pattaya Police Station was called to the Yensabai Condominium Complex in South Pattaya to investigate a foreign fatality. Arriving at the scene, Police were met by the girlfriend of the deceased who explained that she had arranged to meet Mr. Humberto Adam Alvarado aged 54 from California, USA who resides in room number 612 on 6th Floor. A taxi had been arranged to take the pair to the Airport in Bangkok as the pair had planned to travel to Chang Mai together. Mr. Alvarado told the woman to wait for him on the ground floor. He never appeared and many telephone calls went unanswered.

She decided to leave along with the Taxi and informed the Security Guard at the Complex to call her when he appeared. She heard nothing and returned to the complex at 7am. The Security Guard and the woman went to his room and gained entry. The body of Mr. Alvarado was discovered on the floor of the bathroom and the Police were called. An inspection of the body and room were made and it was seen that Mr. Alvarado was clutching a syringe, the contents of which are now being analyzed. Various tablets were found in the room suggesting the man was suffering from an illness which may be connected with the Syringe. A post mortem examination is now underway before Police continue with the case.

AMERICAN MAN FOUND DEAD ON BATHROOM FLOOR CLUTCHING A SYRINGE

An American tourist, who had taken a girl back to his room, was found dead the next morning. When his body was discovered, holding a syringe in his hand, the girl was already gone. The man could have been suffering from an illness or could have been using illegal drugs. Police will analyze the contents left in the syringe and rush to find the girl for further investigation.

On 3 July 2007, at 6:30 AM, Police Lieutenant Colonel Samran Kamwatana, a Pattaya investigator, received a call that a tourist was found dead in Room 612, on the sixth floor, of Yensabai Comdominium, South Pattaya, Moo 10, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi. Police Colonel Suthin Sabphueng, Superintendent, and Police Lieutenant Colonel Chonaphat Nawaluck, Deputy Superintendent, along with Sawang Boriboon Rescue, rushed to investigate.

At the scene of the incident, officials found the deceased body of Mr.Humberto Adam Alvarado (54), an American citizen, lying on the bathroom floor. He was wearing a gray T-shirt, military patterned shorts and white sneakers. He was clutching a syringe in his left hand which contained some clear liquid that will be analyzed. In addition, the water tap in the bathroom was still running. There were no signs of an attack. Apparently, he had been dead for at least five hours. Officials searched around the room, found a condom, whisky, several medications and other belongings on the bed, which were taken as evidence.

Officials questioned one of the regular maid personnel. She said that Mr. Alvarado had rented the room for two weeks. She saw Mr. Alvarado take a girl back to his room in the middle of the night. In the morning, she knocked on the door so she could clean the room, but there was no answer. She used her passkey to enter the room and found Mr. Alvarado dead. Officials will analyze the liquid contents left in the syringe to see if they are related to the medicines found in his room. They want to determine if Mr.Alvarado was suffering from an illness and/or was using illegal drugs. Officials will follow up to find the girl that Mr. Alvarado took to his room for further investigation.

Once again our illustrious local media almost seem to be reporting two different stories regarding the same incident.

Do they actually do this on purpose ? Or are they so desparetely in competition with each other, that they make stuff up as they go in order to try and get their version out before they other guys ?
