Phuket, 26 September — Residents in central areas of Phuket are facing a significant water supply disruption today, as essential repairs are being carried out, the Phuket Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) has announced.

 

From 9am to 5pm, a malfunctioning water pump raft has necessitated urgent maintenance to rectify reduced water pressure. The affected regions include Srisoonthorn, Cherng Talay, Pa Khlok, Kamala, and Ratsada. During this period, residents might experience weakened water flow or a complete cessation of supply.

 

 

 

 

The PWA has advised that post-repair, water may initially appear discoloured or contain sediment. Authorities assure the public that every effort will be made to restore normal water supply promptly.

I rode around the new dam last week and this was the state of what I assume is the pumping station - obviously in need of some repairs as that mangled mess of metal is supposed to be a straight walkway!
