Is Pantip Plaza still there?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I need to go to BKK for some IT and gaming gear. What's the best address to go these times?

Years ago Pantip Plaza was my go to place for IT equipment.

Last time i was there was pre-Covid and it didn't look well.

How is the state now?

cheers

honestly, shopee...

i think pantip is dead.

went tukom pattaya only a very few shops for coms

star plaza rayong... maybe 10 shops still open

No more Pantip plaza. I went there a month ago but there are no IT stuff. It's an empty department store.

thanks for the answers.

how about Fortune Town?

is that dead too?

Fortune is doing OK. Pantip plaza Ngamwongwan is.... not doing well. Mostly phones. Pantip Bangkapi... not sure but that was dying for a long time. Pantip in Pratunam is gone. New name, very few shops inside, and nothing about IT. Palladium or whatever it's called where Pantip shops moved to before Pantip got previous makeover is also gone.

There are however still shops around usual department stores, mostly from JIB Computer which sell gaming gear. I know Paragon had it, Central World also, I saw it at Central Lat Phrao, Central Westgate and The Mall Ngamwongwan, Central Rama9 and FortuneTown.

If you know exactly what you want - get it online from Advice or JIB... If not, go to any of these shops or go browsing around Fortune on 3rd and mostly 4th floor.
