PALANG PRACHARATH LEADER Prawit Wongsuwan has today (Oct. 1) resolved to no longer accept the salary and entitlement pay to which he is eligible as an MP and to return all the money which he has earlier accepted.

Prawit, the only party-listed MP of the second largest opposition party who has admitted having taken leave from parliament many times has remarkably decided to not accept the salary and entitlement pay any longer and to return the whole sum of money which he has already accepted monthly from the House of Representatives since last year, confirmed Palang Pracharath secretary-general Paiboon Nititawan.

Prawit will not only decline to accept the salary and entitlement pay throughout the current legislative term but until his MP status is legally terminated, Paiboon said.

This guy and his cronies are all on such a stupid level that it´s unfathomable. Unfortunately, over 50% of Thais will see this as a good thing. In reality it is not a good thing at all.

What he is showing, is total lack of interest for his work and the country´s wellbeing. And now, he tries to refuse payment and payback earlier payment for what he call missed or leave from parliament. He have neglected his duties as an elected MP in the parliament. He has refused to serve the people, and until now, taken payment for it. He have taken a position for a long time, that somebody with interest to do his work could have held and maybe made a difference. (Not likely, but the thought is beautiful).

He should be prosecuted and jailed for his negligence and unlawful holding of position as well as scamming money from the government. This only give a clear signal that all scammers just can regret and pay back and avoid punishment for their actions.

Sounds good, but one, his salary will be a drop in the ocean, two, he has given himself the go ahead only to attend when it suits him instead of doing the job properly.

Well, porky pig expects the fast lane through beatification straight into canonization or what?

This geezer should have been cleared off the stage a decade ago or even earlier. But then again, while he was snoozing through the few parliament sessions he attended, he could not do anything wrong.

Dreaming of more watches to be borrowed from friends who later on die in such a way, that the widow does not want to be hurt in mentioning it ever after?

Another joke, if you ask me!

It just makes me wonder how many billions he has that he can live on the pitiful amount he gets as his army pension.

Under Prayut he was handed I believe a B2 Trillion expenditure, then we barely heard from him for years.

He is also giving back all his used nappies and a signed photo of a Patek Philippe his dead friend got back 🤔

Nobody knows the extent to which these top generals and top ministers have enriched themselves over the years, we could be talking about billions of baht. Nobody knows, because no investigation is allowed and journalism here is inhibited to the point where one truly has to question if Thailand is anything resembling a democracy.

This is just a symbolic gesture intended to deceive the most naive amongst us.
