I use cash when I'm out and about (pubs, bars, 711 etc.)

Banking app for condo fees, electricity bill, phone bill.

Credit card for internet purchases.

No way they can get rid of cash here. With the sex industry, corruption, tax evasion etc. there is no way the authorities would do it, since they benefit the most from the aforementioned things being off the radar.

What the f-k is wrong with you? Why would I have 10k baht in wallet for ladyboys of other sexual services? Are you basing that on your own preferences?

I was thinking, when you are out and maybe meet friends, and wish to go eat together, or goes in to a shop and see something you like to have in home. You know, what I think. If you really slow down you sexual frustration, and overflow of testosterones. Just maybe, you can also see outside the sex-tourists eyes. Or, just maybe, you are incapable of that. Anyway, I feel sorry for you, that such a comment was the first that hit your main frame.

WOW, so triggered. Well, that confirms what bob smith told me. Not surprised actually.

Are you jerking off at the same time, and it´s your way to get satisfied?

It's very kind of you to offer me to join your tranny-trio, but it's not really my thing. What was it that Bob used to call you by? Was it Gayfiddle?

I pay for just about anything using the seller's QR code.

At 7/11 I use True Money wallet, and for small items like a bottle of water I carry some coins.

My foreign cc only for car rental, and my Thai dc for many online items. Money for my gf I transfer using the bank app.

You have vivid fantasies. Maybe even hallucinations, but please don´t include me in your world.

While the benefit of cashless is it is more difficult to practice corruption.....the problem with Thailand going cashless, is that to prosecute corruption you need a will in the police, the government and the judiciary. That will does not exist. It is like Prawit's watches. All financial transactions could be monitored, but those of higher classes and politicians, army generals with garages of imported cars and police generals who are suspiciously wealthy, with never get looked at. So on balance I think digital currency is a loser for most people. I'm old and don't want new money that can only be used on beta-testing hard and software. I'd like Thailand to be the last country on earth to go to digital currency.

I can mention that my country, Norway, just made it the law for any business to accept cash. If they do not, they will be punished with a rather high fine! This is for safety in case of an attack on the internet or other terror attacks. Imagine what will happen if the internet went off line for weeks or more! Total chaos and collapse of societies! The cash less BS is a danger to us all and just for politicians to take full control of every person in the land!! They are playing with fire! Wake up!! Always keep some cash  somewhere if you can. Also keep at least 1 week of provisions in your house. The world at the moment is NOT very stable.

Saw an article saying Thailand could be cashless by 2028. Don't believe this will happen so soon, but just interested in knowing how most people here pay for things nowadays. Shopping, taxis, apartment etc. Do you use debit cards, Promptpay etc? I personally still believe cash is king and we should always have options.

Why not put up the article for all to see?
