Anyway as far as Iran is concerned they will have a nuclear weapon you would need a Time Machine to stop that now. There nuclear program is way below the ground and even if you could get to it the know how to make a centerfuge and would just do it again.

The time is long gone where any country or block can prevent other countries from technology that dates back to WW2. I am sure the Japanese for example could make a nuclear weapon and stick it on a missle these days in about 15 minutes.

These days it seems like the first post in every thread is also the dumbest.

How so?we had an agreement with verification there’s several other things to consider, the Iranian population is getting sick and tired of the mullas remember what happened when they murdered that girl for not covering her hair?they remember the way things were before the mullas ruined their country.imagine how much leverage we lost when trump welched on the treaty.Imagine if we could buy their oil.those mullas would be thinking long and hard before screwing that up because their people wouldn't stand for it.personally I wish they would revolt and get their country back they individually are great people with an incredible culture…..if it were allowed to blossom.I certainly don’t condone nor support the present regime they are terrorists.

The price of fuel shouldn't be a factor.

The first step to peace would be an independent palestinian state .

If Israel would agree to that , a lasting peaceful coexistence between the involved parties could eventually become possible .

I think Israel would agree to that, AFTER Hamas surrenders. If Hamas stays, they will keep shooting missiles into Israel no matter what the agreement states, just like they have always done. Want peace, Hamas has to go.

As Israel deliberates its response to the recent barrage of 180 ballistic missiles fired from Iran, the focus on Iran's nuclear weapons program becomes increasingly urgent. Prime Minister Netanyahu has Iran firmly in his sights, with Israel potentially being the last line of defense against Tehran's nuclear ambitions. The West has thus far employed diplomatic measures, supported by covert intelligence efforts, to prevent Iran from achieving nuclear capability. However, following the events of October 7, 2023, the longstanding tensions in the Middle East are rapidly intensifying, pushing the region towards a potential catastrophe.

Ken McCallum, the head of MI5, has recently warned about sabotage and covert operations by Russian and Iranian agents. These warnings are not isolated but connected to the growing threat posed by Iran’s weapons of mass destruction program. Both Russia and Iran pose threats not only to their immediate adversaries but to the West as well. Their agents are likely probing vulnerabilities in nuclear power stations and other critical infrastructure in the UK and beyond.

The rise of Iran’s nuclear capabilities, combined with its hostile actions, is deeply concerning. With two uranium mines, enrichment plants, and ballistic missile capabilities, Iran is nearing the capacity to develop nuclear weapons that could strike both Israel and the West. Despite international scrutiny from the United States and the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran has navigated around sanctions and surveillance, especially after the United States withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal under President Trump. Meanwhile, there are concerns that Putin, in exchange for Iranian support in weapons, may have provided Tehran with crucial nuclear technology.

The failure rate of Iranian missiles fired at Israel so far—95 percent—might offer some reassurance about their capability. Yet, the risk remains that one successful nuclear strike could have devastating consequences. Such an attack could trigger a regional or even global conflict, as Israel, which already possesses nuclear weapons, would retaliate with devastating force. The Iranian regime, particularly the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), shares a fanatical commitment to the destruction of Israel. They may not hesitate to press the "red button" if they believe it furthers their mission, despite the catastrophic consequences.

While some in the West may underestimate the danger due to Russia's nuclear posturing and lack of follow-through since its invasion of Ukraine, the risks posed by Iran are far greater. Iran's support for Hamas' violent attacks on October 7, 2023, further demonstrates the regime’s disregard for international norms and its willingness to act through proxies. The possibility of an Iranian nuclear strike must not be taken lightly, as it would undoubtedly provoke a massive retaliatory response from Israel, leading to an escalation into global nuclear conflict.

Israel currently holds a clear nuclear advantage over Iran, creating a fragile balance that must be maintained. President Biden and other Western leaders, including those in the UK, would be wise to ensure this balance persists. Allowing Israel to neutralize Iran’s nuclear capabilities might be the only way to prevent a wider disaster. Tehran's regime is already facing internal dissent, driven by popular frustration over the suppression of women and youth, and Israel’s decisive action could further weaken the ayatollahs' grip on power.

Watch: “I think the idea of allowing a genocidal, theocratic, unstable dictatorship that is desperate to avoid being overthrown by its own people to develop nuclear weapons is about the most dangerous and irresponsible thing that the world could ever allow,” Poilievre said.

For the world to move away from the brink of nuclear disaster, Iran’s nuclear program must be dismantled. This would significantly reduce the threat Tehran poses, not just to Israel, but to global stability. The West, despite its weariness from ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, must recognize the importance of supporting Israel in this endeavor. Allowing Israel to take action against Iran’s nuclear capabilities may be the only way to avoid a catastrophe and restore some semblance of peace and security in the region.

Israel should carefully think about a response.

If they strike too hard Iran could be triggered to press the red button

How about offering their nuclear scientists a bank account full of money and nationality wherever they choose (as long as the recipient country is willing)? Identity change, wife and kids to join.

Seems like a peaceful, capitalist, method of avoiding nuclear weapons development. There can't be that many nuclear scientists in Iran.

Iran is entitled to develop nukes. Why should its mortal enemies be allowed to have them, if they are denied?

Responsible people for nuke arms would disagree with you.

Their mortal enemy (Israel )isn’t constantly reminding the world

of the obsession of killing them

by supplying their terror proxies

with money and weapons to kill.

Yes , seen this with Saddam already .

Sure , another preventive strike by Israel on Iran would bring peace ?

What is wrong with all these heavily biased people ?

A lasting peace never comes out of a war and the destruction it brings .

To make peace , tolerance , the will to find a political solution , and negotiations based on the WILL to achieve peace are necessary .

The first step to peace would be an independent palestinian state .

If Israel would agree to that , a lasting peaceful coexistence between the involved parties could eventually become possible .

Good luck with that. These are people who want to kill Jews. It's not about land. Here's an interesting interview. Only need to listen to the first minute or so and if you really want to understand why the ex pm of Israel says what he says then perhaps you can google: the palestinian centre for policy and research!

This was back in May of this year and its relevant right now.

Iran willing to 'expend every Arab life' in efforts to destroy Israel, former US security adviser says

Iran is willing to "expend every Arab life" in its efforts to end Western influence in the Middle East and destroy Israel, a former US national security adviser has said.

HR McMaster, who held the position between 2017 and 2018 during the Trump presidency, told Sky News that there is still a risk of escalation between Iran and Israel after the two nations carried out attacks on each other in April.

That's not going to happen ☝️ any more than Russia is going to lay down it's weapons and give up the territories which are now part of the Russian Federation, or China is going to allow Taiwan to secede from mainline China.
But those are all demands that the West is willing to start World War 3 over...and they will, I have no doubt.
Why? Hegemony and hubris.  Remember, the United States is the "Most Exceptional Country In The World" and all of the lowly nations must "bend a knee" - or else!

Well kids - what you're going to experience is a self-fulfilling prophesy.  Stay tuned.....!

I won't even elaborate other that to state the obvious: Most Westerners have been raised from birth to believe that Israel is God's Gift to the World.  And of course, God gave them the Eastern Mediterranean (not the British via the Belfour Agreement) and as such they have the God-given right to ethnically cleanse the entire region since 1948 and anyone who disagrees is a "terrorist."

Most Westerners haven't been raised to believe that and the people who commit terrorists acts are regarded as terrorists .

Jews are the  indigenous people of Israel and its the Muslims who are attempting to ethnically cleanse the land of Jews

I think it was the British journalist and author Douglas Murray who pointed out that would simply result in another Iranian proxy failed state adjacent to Israel.

Just released by Kamala Harris:

Make no mistake, as president, I will never hesitate to take whatever action is necessary to defend American forces and interests from Iran and Iran-backed terrorists, and I will never allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon.

Diplomacy is my preferred path to that end, but all options are on the table.

Yes, great wish for some huh! Interesting how this kind of sick hope for increased termoil has grown lately. Perhaps it's because Israel is no longer on the receiving end of things. Some don't like that!
