In the early hours of October 13, a collision occurred on Soi Nernplub Wan, near the entrance of Mab Yai Lia Soi 49/1, claiming the life of a Thai motorcyclist. The incident, reported to local authorities at approximately 02:20, involved a high-speed collision between a motorcycle and a car.

 

Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of a male Thai motorcyclist. The man, whose identity has not yet been released pending notification of his family, suffered a horrific injury, a large laceration to his neck, which nearly resulted in decapitation. Rescue teams on-site pronounced him dead upon arrival, while the driver of the car reportedly escaped without serious injury.

 

 

Witnesses at the scene described hearing the sound of screeching tyres and a loud crash before rushing out to find the wreckage. The force of the impact left the motorcycle severely damaged, and debris was scattered across the road. Authorities cordoned off the area to conduct an initial investigation, which is currently focusing on the cause of the collision, including whether drugs or alcohol may have played a role in the event.

 

Local police have called for anyone who may have witnessed the accident to come forward with any information that could aid their ongoing investigation. The victim’s body was transported to a local hospital for further examination.

I lived there in my 20s and also felt invincible. In retrospect its a miracle i wasnt killed

The majority of Thais drive well below the speed limit and straddle both lanes, causing people who aren't timid to fight to get around them.

Foreman Killed in Horrific Motorcycle Crash After Collision with Turning Car in Pattaya

 

 

 

The incident occurred in Pattaya’s Nong Prue district claimed the life of a 28-year-old motorcycle rider in the early hours of October 13. The crash occurred at 2:36 a.m. on Noenplub Wan Road, near the entrance of Soi Mab Yai Lia 49/1.

 

Rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation and officers from the Nong Prue Police Station rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle, which left one person dead.

 

At the scene, police found a black Honda City car with license plate number from Rayong, driven by 26-year-old musician Mr. Athirat Charoentanakul. The car’s left side, particularly the rear door, was damaged, and bloodstains were visible on the corner of the window. Nearby, a black Honda PCX motorcycle with license plate number from Chonburi lay on the road.

 

The body of Mr. Jirayu Thongklip, aged 28, was discovered in the middle of the road with a severe neck wound. Rescue workers covered his body with a white sheet as grieving friends gathered at the scene.

 

Mr. Athirat, the driver of the car, told police that he had been returning home and was in the process of making a U-turn to park in front of his house. As he made the turn, the motorcycle, traveling at high speed, collided with his vehicle. He expressed deep regret over the incident, explaining that he had not expected such a severe collision. After the crash, he immediately called rescue services, but Mr. Jirayu’s injuries were too severe, and he died shortly afterward.

 

Pol. Lt. Damchaluae Samkanying, Deputy Investigator at Nong Prue Police Station, inspected the scene and collected evidence. Authorities will review CCTV footage from the area to determine the cause of the accident. Mr. Jirayu’s body was transported to Banglamung Hospital, where it will be held until his family can claim it.

I actually believe they don't think at all , ever.  They just do things and it catches up with them.

At this point, no proof at all that the MC was speeding, but plenty of proof that the car driver cut off a moving vehicle while making a U-turn.
