Kamala Harris Defends Policy Stance in Heated Fox News Interview
Perhaps she was making the point that she was prepared to undergo a hostile interview - without demanding an on air apology for an imagined slight from 4 years ago. She wasn't particularly snarky, he asked some very barbed questions, making it absolutely clear in asking them the answer he expected, wished, to hear. It was rather than an interview a "switch and bait session". She answered them, in a measured style and was not prepared to let him bamboozle him into loosing her temper. Incidentally, I thought the remark " you are a serious journalist, you will have done your research" was very funny. Not quite up there with "Kamala Harris has a résumé, Donald Trump has a rap sheet" but still funny. Will it make a difference? Well it's Fox News, interviewer and audience share the same agenda, which was followed from the start, so it won't, never was, going to change that. But they can't claim that she isn't avoiding hostile interviews. Could have done with an "Ave Maria" or two and some Pavarotti - maybe she forgot to bring her IPod? -

People who post that they give ladies cash rather than buy a drink invariably are not in Pattaya. -

Why are most movies released post-2000 unwatchable?
I disagree 100%. Hollywood makes happy endings compulsory, while Asian movies have far more realistic endings, sometimes involving the death of main characters eg Crouching Tiger, House of Flying Daggers, and probably the best one of all, Hero. -

Expatriate Group health insurance?
This company is an intermediary and not an insurance company. To its credit it is regulated by the FCA in the UK and they state that they would extend FCA protections on a voluntary basis to those who would not normally come within its scope. I believe they operate for the most part as a managing general agency for one particular insurer, although they do state they may use others in certain instances. An MGA usually has underwriting and claims-paying authority on behalf of the insurer with which they have their agreement. Drilling down into the policy wording, Expatriate Group does divulge the name and location of the insurance company that insures their plans: Guardrisk Insurance Company Mauritius Ltd PCC, authorised and regulated by the FSC in Mauritius (Registration number: C142417/C1/GBL). Here's a link to one of Expatriate Group's webpages that gives some info on Guardrisk in terms of size and Moody's credit ratings: https://www.expatriatehealthcare.com/information/underwriters/ I see that Guardrisk is rated Ba2 on a global scale by Moody's. This rating is stated by Moody's as non-investment grade or speculative. I don't have any insight into this company's claims-paying attitude. -

Obtaining a Marriage Visa after Privilege Visa Expires
My Thailand Privilege visa expires early next year, but I will still have permission to stay in Thailand for much of next year. The "6th year" of the Thailand Privilege visa. I've been married to my Thai partner of 8 years for several years now, but I wasn't planning to convert to a marriage visa immediately for a number of reasons. Once my Privilege Visa has expired, will I still be able to apply for a marriage visa in Thailand or will I need to do that outside Thailand? I'm assuming it's the latter, as I'll no longer have a valid visa to convert. But I'd be happy if I'm wrong! -

Staying Beyond Thailand Privilege Visa Expiry
I agree with the 3 posters you mentioned. Think it's more a lost in translation thing. You will need to do your own 90 reporting after the PE expires. No big deal. The "exit Thailand" thinking meaning exit and reenter prior to visa expiry.- 1

Who appointed you the arbiter of corruption and moral depravity? Although reading Hunters laptop might be a good way to gain some insight.
