A crash in Rayong has left a pregnant woman fighting for her life and her husband dead after their motorcycle collided with a 10-wheel oil truck. The incident occurred at around 14:15 near the entrance of Sukhumvit Soi 12 in Huai Pong, Rayong.

According to Huai Pong Police, the motorcycle, driven by a man with his 22-year-old pregnant wife as a passenger, was attempting to overtake the oil truck when it was clipped by the vehicle. This caused the motorcycle to fall, and the truck tragically ran over the husband, killing him instantly.

Local rescue services rushed the seven-months pregnant woman to Chalermprakiat Somdet Phra Theparat Hospital in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses reported that the motorcycle had been following the truck before making an unsuccessful attempt to pass it, leading to the deadly collision.

The truck driver has been detained for questioning as authorities investigate the exact circumstances of the incident. Legal proceedings are expected to follow as police continue their inquiry into the cause of the crash.

I see it all the time while driving... Motorbike drivers with no patience going around big trucks. Basically, cause their own injuries.

Visited Central Westgate in BKK yesterday, driving back on the main road it was raining heavily with standing water and flooded areas for miles, watching the nutters driving like idiots without a care for safety was enlightening...

Like the motorbikes weaving in and out of the three lanes, seeing them navigate the large flooded areas surrounded by vehicles and the large trucks.
