In a moment that electrified the crowd, legendary rapper Eminem took to the stage in Detroit, Michigan, to introduce former President Barack Obama at a rally for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris. The event, held on Tuesday night, saw Eminem addressing his hometown and rallying the crowd in support of Harris's campaign.

As Eminem stepped onto the stage, the audience erupted with excitement. Known for his deep connection to Detroit, the rapper shared heartfelt remarks about the importance of this election, particularly for Michigan. "The city of Detroit, and the whole state of Michigan mean a lot to me," he said. "Going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever, and I think it's important to use your voice." Though his speech was brief, it left a lasting impression, as Eminem urged people to take action and fight for change.

Social media lit up after the rally, with many praising Eminem's appearance and his passionate message. One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "I would never have thought that I would be saying that I am so proud to be a Michigander #Harris_Walz2024 #detroit #Eminem #obama #oneshot." Another fan added, "Eminem introducing Obama to #GOTV for Kamala Harris tells you you’re on the right team! #HarrisWalz2024 #HarrisForThePeople."

While Eminem did not perform, his presence and words energized the crowd, leading into Obama’s speech, which further emphasized the significance of the upcoming election. Obama’s appearance in Michigan, a key battleground state, was meant to rally support for Harris as she continues her campaign to secure the presidency.

Eminem’s endorsement of the Democratic ticket is not a surprise to his fans. The rapper has long been vocal in his opposition to former President Donald Trump and the Republican Party. In 2020, he allowed then-presidential candidate Joe Biden to use his iconic hit song "Lose Yourself" in a campaign ad, encouraging voters to seize the opportunity to make their voices heard. He shared the ad on social media with the caption: "One opportunity... #Vote." Obama had also used "Lose Yourself" during his 2008 presidential campaign, further tying the artist to Democratic causes.

Eminem’s continued support for the Democratic platform and his willingness to leverage his influence for the political campaign reflect his deep connection to his roots and his desire to see progress in the country. His appearance alongside Obama at this critical rally was another moment where the worlds of politics and entertainment intersected to inspire and mobilize voters.

The night was a powerful display of unity, with Eminem’s introduction paving the way for Obama to address the crowd, rallying support for Kamala Harris and emphasizing the importance of voter participation in the upcoming election.

Eminem has become another self loathing Liberal.

Eminem loathes himself? Really??

Have you ever tried writing a few sentences without using your book of right wing cliches? Like actually use grown up words that you think of yourself? What doe "self loathing Liberal" even mean?

Something has heightened the sensitivity of Trump supporters, both foreign and domestic.

They’re all on hair triggers this past few days, what’s brought that on I wonder?!

Eminem shows up and triggers them on race, it’s very odd.

Not sure why you'd support a sexist, homophobic, misogynistic rapper endorsing your girl.

If you're not sure what to think about Eminem, please allow me to present The Guardian's view so you can adopt/repeat it.

Eminem is a clown, he could not trigger anyone over anything. Endorsing Harris is merely amusing, who is it meant to impress? he was a has been years ago.

Maga triggered by Eminem appearance and support for Harris. They do have Ted Nugent just for laugh.

Why would MAGA be triggered? He seems like such a good guy.

He's absolutely perfect for the #bekind Liberals. 😃

All they need now is Diddy's endorsement and it'll be game over.

All those allegations but no convictions. Detroits love their celebrities. Will go well for the Dems.
