View Talay 8 - renting for 6 to 9 months, how is it?

Featured Replies

View Talay 8, right next to Central - how is this condo for renting between 6 to 9 months? Are there any downsides to living there?

How much should I expect to pay per month for a 6 to 9 month contract?

Roughly what sizes are these studios, are they around 48 sqm?

Are the lifts to the floors with keycard access only, so nobody can go to your floor if they don't live there?

What type of facilities does this building have? Big pool, good gym, etc?

Isn´t that View Talay 6?   I do not believe they have 8.

Check it online plenty of information.

As mentioned, the project is View Talay 6.  View Talay 8 is in Jomtien.  Advantage to VT6 is the location.  Pool is smallish considering the number of condos in the project.  I'm not sure if there is a gym as part of the condo project; there may be one in the building.  There is covered parking.

Studio units are mostly 48sqm.  That 48 sqm includes the square meters of the large balconies.  Units on the south side currently have an open view.  Those on the north look at Central Festival Mall.  Higher units facing north on the back end of the building get some noise from the large air con units of the mall.  But, these north units at the back also can see the sea and coast line if they are high enough.

The website Hipflat can give you some idea regarding rents or you could try Facebook Marketplace and some big realtors such as Coastal, Alan Bolton, Gecko, and Fazwaz.   Good luck.

Not a chance, lifts are ify there apparently, old that break down

A friend rented in VT-6 in 2022, 48 S/m studio, middle floor, sliver of an ocean view. B22,000/m, 1 year contract.  He really like the convenience of the location including a lot of shops on the ground level.   Not a fitness/pool guy.  Last year they raised rent to 30,000+.  Nice but not that nice!  He moved.

IRRC, they also mark the electricity up but I could be wrong.

How is central Pattaya polluted? I live here and don't see or feel any pollution?

It's in the heart of Central Pattaya.  It's not Wongamat, it's not Pratumnak.  Crowds, traffic, higher prices, noise at all hours are what goes with that location. People pay near double the going rates of quieter locations to be there so they must like it.  What is "polluted" about it?

OP - always rent for a week or less to check out before 12mo.

Depends how good the management are, my condo they block less than 1 month rentals, who wants to live in a condo where people are coming and going like a hotel

VT8 is just before Chaiyaphruek

Felt to 'in the action' for me. Anything that central is going to be pretty noisy and attract a lot of sex tourists, people bringing hookers up to the rooms all the time, partying, etc.

Those are the type of people that like to steal. An elevator card would not protect you much, many times people are invited in then roam around. They are not necessarily escorted out by the resident.

Remember, this is Pattata with people coming in from all over the world and they are looking for the center condo's like that right near the beach.

Actually, it looks like the gangster Tim "Sharky" Ward lives in View Talay 6. Saw some videos of him taken from his room and it seems to be from this building. Looks like this condo building is an avoid for me.

Is he back??? I'm pretty sure he relocated back to Australia years ago. He had some problems with the police.

Came across his Facebook page and looking at his posts, seems he's been back since end of 2023 in his condo, which looks to be View Talay 6.

That's good!

In my hotel in Khon Kaen lived leader of MC gang. A big "Night Rider" Harley parked at front.

Never felt more secure 😉 I even talked to him about his custom Hog. I've had two so he felt good about me.
