How Is This Possible In MAGA World?

How is it possible that so many of Trump’s supporters continue to ignore the insights of 24 people who were once among his closest allies and held critical roles in his administration?
 

Each of these individuals, many of whom held top security, defense, or advisory positions, has come forward to publicly condemn Trump’s actions, decisions, and temperament, stating emphatically that he is unfit for office.

 

Their firsthand perspectives, formed through close proximity and shared work, paint a compelling picture that is hard to dismiss and I truly don't understand how Trump supporters can not be at all concerned by what all of these people are saying.  

 

    1.    Mike Pence - Former Vice President; criticized Trump’s push to overturn election results.
    2.    Bill Barr - Former Attorney General; rejected Trump’s election fraud claims.
    3.    James Mattis - Former Secretary of Defense; described Trump as divisive.
    4.    Mark Esper - Former Secretary of Defense; questioned Trump’s loyalty to the country.
    5.    John Kelly - Former Chief of Staff; rebuked Trump’s disregard for democratic norms.
    6.    Rex Tillerson - Former Secretary of State; noted Trump’s lack of foreign affairs understanding.
    7.    Nikki Haley - Former UN Ambassador; criticized his recent foreign policy views.
    8.    Chris Christie - Former Transition Chair; highlighted Trump’s self-interest.
    9.    HR McMaster - Former National Security Adviser; criticized Trump’s leadership.
    10.    John Bolton - Former National Security Adviser; described Trump as unserious in foreign policy.
    11.    Mick Mulvaney - Former Acting Chief of Staff; resigned after January 6.
    12.    Anthony Scaramucci - Former Communications Director; publicly condemned Trump.

I like Christie. He'd make a decent POTUS IMO. I don't actually remember Wray at all- can't have been around long.

 

However, no one did more damage to Trump than the IMO despicable Sessions. Trump should have fired him on the spot when he recused himself. All Trump's real problems became possible after he took himself out of the job he should have been doing.

I haven't heard anything about him since he did get fired- perhaps he died of shame.

Who says they were close allies? They were doing a job, not going to karaoke parties with him.

 

Why do you conflate disgruntled loser's opinions with the policies that Trump has? People don't want to elect him because he's a fun guy, they want someone to close the border, drill baby drill, put America first, stop wasting their money in Ukraine, and not start wars.

There were all really close to Trump. Even his own vice president said he's not fit for office and MAGA supporters won't even take his word for it. You can't make this stuff up. When did America become this broken?

Simples. The only realistic alternative is Harris and IMO they rather be decapitated than vote for her. Just not voting would allow her to win, so they will vote for Trump.

In the last week of Clinton's campaign I thought she would lose due to concentrating on female demographics, Harris is in danger of the same mistake. However, trump's never ending whining is more off putting for me as is his constant lies, vilification and insults of minorities and others who disagree with him. For me he is way to divisive. The OP list is a manifestation of his terrible executive manner and decision making incompetence.

Christopher Wray. FBI Director that replaced Comey. Wray was former law partner with Sally Yates, who refused to follow orders and was eventually fired from the DOJ by Trump. Yates was a co-conspirator with Bayrack on the Russia-Russia hoax and spying on Trump. In meetings with Susan Rice, Obama, Comey and Biden leading up to the Trump inauguration. 

 

Christie has done nothing but bash Trump ever since Trump removed him from the transition team and sent him packing. Another disgruntled backstabber who is big mad.

Agree re: Sessions. He tried to run again for Senate and wanted a Trump endorsement. Didn't get it and lost.

When people are unwilling or unable to objectively evaluate evidence and instead rely solely on their existing beliefs or emotions, it becomes difficult for society to make informed decisions and hold leaders accountable.

 

The danger of this type of thinking is that it can create an echo chamber, where false information and flawed reasoning are perpetuated within a group, making it increasingly difficult for members of that group to break free and consider alternative viewpoints.

 

In a healthy democracy, citizens need to be able to think critically and evaluate evidence objectively, even when it contradicts their existing beliefs or preferences. Or is the answer simply that they only hear what they want to hear and further dream up their own reality about Trump, despite all the evidence that he's incapable of being a non- fascist president that upholds the US constitution?

Everyone with any name recognition that comes out against Trump is a hero and gets to make the rounds on media.

I think number one is not replacing every appointment in the administration the first week of office. Way too many Obama holdovers.

5. Promote and approve legislation that provides a "path to citizenship" for illegal aliens?

6. Promote and approve legislation that provides free health care, tuition and housing subsidies for illegal aliens?

7. Promote and approve legislation that allows men in women’s sports and prisons?

8. Promote and approve legislation that provides free transition surgery for prison inmates?

I remember the name Yates, but never took much notice at the time. Too many people trying to sabotage Trump to notice them all.
