I use an enema maybe once a week as my stools can become compacted even tho I eat prunes and fibre bran , soapy water seams a good idea to wash you innards ,but how often is safe? Could upset my gut health

If you must use an enema make it a pre-made small one (Fleets or dimilar). High up enemas, soap suds etc not a good idea on a regular basis.

Have you tried glycerine suppositories?

Are you taking on opoid (would explain it).

How about using the stuff you take to get ready for a colonoscopy the next day? Called Colon-Prep or something like that.

Would using that for a complete flush out say every 3-4 months, or every 6 months, be beneficial?

I remember reading a post a long time ago that said colonics, which I believe is just a very thorough enema, can actually mess up your gut bacteria and kill off the good bacteria you need. I suppose using Colon-Prep would be like a colonic on steroids.
