A big part of the problem with Phuket I believe (and it goes for Pattaya as well) is that foreigners prevail, and in many areas well outnumber the indigenous population. This makes it a target for all kinds a lafferious traders and would be conmen (con-person sorry). I couldn't recommend either place to someone visiting the Kingdom. The culture, goodwill and Thai philosophy in these areas has become so diluted as to be almost non-existent. What to take away from all this? Why come to Thailand to stay in either of these two places!
Worth mentioning loss of inhibition is a classic telltale sign of DEMENTIA.
Trump has been talking filthy a lot more than he used to.
Medical report please!
It is somewhat irritating when some friends of mine in the UK have Thai wives and they are granted UK citizenship. However, neither I or friends in Thailand with Thai wives and family are granted similar rights.
That said, I totally agree with the government proposal to do this for the stateless minority.
Yeah, the old “me and we” foolishness.
It always comes down to compelling others to do things against their will.
We had communism/tribalism for millennia.
You are lucky! Even though I only ever stay for maximum of 90 days, in order to get the Non O visa based on being retired in UK, I have to show proof of £18,000. Who needs £18k for 3 months?
