If a family live in military housing, when the one in the military ( could be either ) is deployed they lose the house they were living in, as they get another one on the new base. Are you suggesting that only one deploys and the other stays behind for years and years, and that they be provided with 2 different accommodations, one in each location? If they did that you'd be complaining that the military was wasting money on too much accommodation.

So, if someone is working abroad for the British military, they would earn enough so that their spouse does not have to work, but their children's education will be paid for by the British public?  That's how you think it should be?
