Sure Aluminium is not bad for you..

Neither is Fluoride, or MSG or Aspartame, or GMO food or bla bla...Which the the authorities say are all as safe as can be..

I would say there is a very good chance cooking with Aluminium on high heat could be very bad for your health....

Aluminum is pure poison if you are using acidic things in it! Aluminium should anyway be avoided if possible. Stainless steel or ceramics are the best. Anyone that think aluminium is safe should go back to study again.

Aluminium forms a passive layer of aluminium oxide on exposure to air. That passive layer is inert to everything except strong alkali or acids. It melts at 660C, I guess that would be bad.

I understand. Everything is out to get you. Don't wash your dishes in nonionic surfactants, they are endocrine disruptors. Don't cook with stainless steel, chromium and nickel are poisonous. Cast iron cookware contains manganese. Glass cookware has boron, Teflon is fluoride.

About 99% of canola oil is GMO.

There's a risk of silicosis if you are in desert areas. The terpenes will get you if you are in a pine forest. Asthma in a wheat field.

Funny thing, I have survived 81 years being exposed to all these toxic perils. You take care out there.

O!M!G!  I'm never going to make it to the age of 75!!!!!!!!

Wait! ... I'm already 75!   .. Never mind.  I guess I will go look for, you know, the thing!

You got got point there, I never understood why aluminum!

Rice stick to it hard and it can emit bad stuff to the rice.

Same with teflon coating etc

Aluminium conducts heat quickly and evenly. It is easily spun formed into a pot shape. Aluminium is cheaper than other suitable materials. Bottom line. The end item is cheaper

You don't see people crowding emergency departments with cases of aluminium poisoning , do you? Aluminium has been used in cooking utensils for over a century.

Aluminium will dissolve in strong acids such as hydrochloric, sulphuric or nitric, below pH4.  IME one needs to get below pH2 before any appreciable attack is observed.

AFAIK foods do not contain the acids mentioned above. They contain weak acids, such as citric, acetic and oxalic acids. They do not attack aluminium as strong acids do.

I suggest you study basic chemistry, and take a Valium.

I don't want to start a new one - so;

What's the safest container material for micro wave?

I have use plastic but some say it's not healthy. Any info on that?

I know glass is good but slow.

Pyrex glass.

Plastics frequently contain plasticizers such as phthalates. They leach out of the plastic over  time. They are endocrine disruptors, and may cause lower sperm counts in men.

Good - no need to use condoms?

Just kidding.

Where to buy Pyrex in Pattaya? Sounds safe and good.

"Pyrex® is borosilicate glass which differs from other glass types as it possesses unique properties of high resistance to chemical exposure, thermal expansion and thermal shock."

THanks for the idea, Always did in electric rice cooker but with plastic coating.

Should stop with it, as coating will be PFAS and is not good.

It is so easy in the cooker but at the same time also like this and no worries about the PFAS.👍

Stupid I didnt think about it my self.

First time with mentioned settings, too much, though rice was still "ok". but too dry.

My micro wave does 900 W and halve is 450 W.

Second time, some more water and reduced second time by 2 minutes, Way better.

Well it is just experimenting with it, but at least the rice didnt cook complete dry.

Guess I will throw away the old rice cooker with the plastic bottom.
